Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JHsoHVe3fEY Meet Colt, an adorable puppy who is in need of a loving home. This sweet baby is always ready for an adventure and absolutely loves water. He loves to play with his many doggie friends and explore and meet new people. He is also great with kitties and doesn't bother them at all. Based on his looks, we believe he is a beagle mix. He found himself on the kill list at a rural, small shelter with no foot traffic through no fault of his own. He is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 20 lbs. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm prevention. Too young for a heartworm test. Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. An apartment may not be the ideal fit for her due to some separation anxiety and a tendency to vocalize when crated. Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. During her assessment, she showed some initial insecurity around larger dogs but may open up and enjoy playful interactions in the right environment. She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with adults or older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Blue Goose is an adorable 4 yr old male beagle with unique coloration. He is considered a 'blue tick' beagle due to the spotting in his coloration. He came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered with his brother "Thunder" because their owner passed away, sadly. They do not need to be adopted together. The volunteers at the shelter enjoyed taking him on walks where he would do lots of sniffing in typical beagle style. He is a playful boy who enjoys every dog he meets. Not only any DOG he meets but people too! He is very affectionate and will make his desire to be loved by you known right away! He is a trim 26 lbs and enjoys walking and sniffing, as well as romps in the yard with a friendly dog or two. Blue Goose has the typical beagle “happy-go-lucky” attitude and would be great in a new home with a fenced yard and a comfy dog bed or couch to relax on with his family. He very much enjoys running and playing with other dogs, so if you have another dog at home who you would like to burn off some energy with a pal, Blue Goose will fit right in. He is a natural in the house with calm demeanor, but needs a refresher course on housebreaking. As with every dog, a change in venue means they don't know the rules of the new home. Lots of patience is needed to help him adjust. Blue Goose is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is ready to fill your home with laughter, playfulness and love. Story
Thunder is a 6 yr old male beagle with a handsome tri-colored coat. He was taken to an animal shelter by his family after the man of the house passed away. Thunder and his pal, Blue Goose, were his dogs, and it seems they were too much for the family to manage in the wake of his loss. Thunder has a playful spirit and a heart full of affection. Like all beagles, he loves sniffing and enjoyed when volunteers at the shelter walked him. All ages of volunteer were cleared to walk him, as he only pulled hard enough to reach that smell just out of reach. He enjoys being petted and is an affectionate guy. As a 6 yr old dog, he is a bit calmer than younger dogs, but as is true with most beagles, is playful and sweet. He is quite a catch! It seems he may have been an outside dog though, as he knows nothing of house training. His foster home will be helping to teach him, but when you bring him home, you’ll want to be prepared to help him learn how it works at your house. If you're interested in bringing this sweet boy into your life, please complete our adoption application. For other questions, please contact Kappy Hodges by email at kappy@cascaderescue.org
