Estimated to have been born around January 3, 2021, she has already overcome a battle with heartworms and was successfully treated. Mrs. Puff was briefly adopted, only to be returned through no fault of her own when a new "fluffy" canine housemate didn't warm up to her.   She has lots of love to give and absolutely loves to play in the play yard. Mrs. Puff tends to favor women and would do great as an only dog or in a home with just one other canine companion. Rusty was a friends dog Mike Dailey who passed away around Halloween 2025.Rusty was found laying next to him trying to keep his human warm like a good boy during a welfare check. The neighbor who has puppy sat Rusty before asked if she could take him so he wouldn't go to the pound. A V.A. social worker called me with the news and asked if I could take Rusty temporarily till she could contact the different people who said they would take him if Mike passed away.Non did. Rusty is approximately 1 year 8-9 months old Beagle Red Tick Coonhound and Weiner dog mix.He is very sweet good with other cats n dogs. Still needs training knows sit, lay down.Rides well in a car.Walks a long side a manual or motorized wheelchair well.Needs someone who is home all the time or retired..Is stubborn loves snuggles,to burrow under his blankets,wearing clothes,going for hikes,walks,playing with other dogs and running. However, as he’s gotten older, he prefers a calmer environment, so he’s looking for a home with no children. Titus can be wary of new people at first, but once he warms up, he’s very affectionate and devoted. He has lived with a variety of animals—including female dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even puppies—and has done well with them. He does need to be the only male dog in the home. A natural guard dog, Titus takes his job seriously and will always alert you when someone unfamiliar is approaching. Because of his protective nature and preference for routine, he’ll thrive best with a patient, experienced handler who understands his personality. Titus is not neutered. Meet Butterscotch Pie💛a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. She’s about 3 years old, and our best guess is a beagle/lab mix, but what we know for sure is that she’s 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and is overflowing with affection. She loves being right next to her humans and is a bit of a Velcro dog, following you around, settling close by, and soaking up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she will dramatically plop right over for them), and booty scratches are a close second! She arches her back and leans into them like a pro. She’s also happy to jump up for affection and will gladly tolerate being scooped up when needed. She’s responsive, checks in quickly, and doesn’t need much guidance, just gentle handling and calm movements, as she can flinch with sudden leash motions. She’s eager to please and enjoys going out with her people. With dogs, Butterscotch is currently more polite than playful. She can be a bit insecure at first, especially with higher-energy or pushy dogs, but she communicates clearly and appropriately when she needs space. She’s done best with calmer, respectful dogs and would be happiest with a low to medium-energy dog sibling who matches her vibe. With time and confidence, she may become more playful, but right now she prefers relaxed companionship and roaming together over roughhousing. Cats are a no for Butterscotch — they’re just a little too interesting for her. Butterscotch absolutely nailed her kid test! She was incredibly calm, gentle, and loving with the kiddos—showering them with sweet face kisses, happily sitting in their laps, and soaking up every bit of attention. Her favorite move? Flopping right over for belly rubs any chance she got and very politely demanding more the second you stopped. She was relaxed, affectionate, and completely comfortable, showing just how much she enjoys being around children. With her sweet nature and family-friendly heart, Butterscotch would make an amazing family dog who’s ready to love her people with her whole soul. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment. She may need a short adjustment period to fully settle in, but once she does, she blossoms into a loving, loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be near her people.
