Your couch called, it’s cold and lonely and wishing for 32 pounds of snuggly pup to keep it warm all day. Meet Amber! The perfect couch dog. Amber is estimated to be around 2 years old, she’s perfectly lap sized at 32 pounds. We believe she’s a beagle, dachshund mix but she is a rescue, so these are our best guesses. She is a beloved member of their home, living like a welcomed guest. Her foster family brags that she’s crate trained, and goes in quietly for a little treat. Usually, she’ll sleep in her crate all night, but on occasion her foster family will let her sleep on the couch instead. They say that when she’s allowed to free roam all night, she’s perfectly well behaved, making no messes. With new people, Amber can take a moment to warm up. She’ll watch from afar until she’s decided you’re friendly, then she approaches for a little affection! Once she knows you, she’s very affectionate, but not overly needy- a perfect combination. She’s a total old-lady type. She doesn’t bark or whine at new people, she has wonderful manners. Amber loves toys. She has a favorite little stuffie, an airplane. She’s not destructive with her toys, and can be trusted with them overnight. The perfect little lady that she is, most of the time, you can find Amber patiently waiting for her next bellyrub while laying on the couch. We believe Amber would be happiest in a home as the only dog, but she could live with dog-savvy kitties! She loves kids and would love life as a family dog. Amber could live in an apartment or in a house, she’s not too terribly picky, she’s just ready for her forever home! Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. MEET HUNTER! HUNTER is a 1-1/2-year-old sweet Beagle-mix boy currently in a foster home. He loves to be around people, and previously was in a different foster home with other dogs. He is still very puppyish but is very trainable! He can be a bit leash reactive, a common trait among many dogs, but in a home with another dog he was a model citizen. Hunter's ideal home is with someone who works from home or who is retired, since he doesn't like to be alone very much. He's quite vocal in an adorable way and will tell you his displeasure when you leave. Hunter loves everyone - he would be great for an active single person or couple, and he would do wonderfully with a family with kids over the age of 5 (only because he likes to jump up - he's still a puppy and learning).
