Story
Meet Mac! Mac and his littermates were surrendered by their owner whose dog had an 'accidental' litter. Their mom was a medium size Beagle mix dog. We can't be sure who dad was but we think he must have also been a mystery mix. The pups all have unique coloring. We think they will grow to be medium to large dogs. At around 7 weeks of age they are ranging from 7-10 lbs. Their full grown size is just an estimate but possibly in the 50-60 lbs range.  This litter of puppies is just lovely. They all have great temperaments, are well socialized and get along with all other animals. Our foster homes are doing their best to get them started on some basic training and socialization and it is important that this work continues. When adopting a puppy there is a golden opportunity to raise them well and teach them well so that they can grow up to be good canine citizens. We really want to find them families who will be dedicated to helping them learn and grow.  Puppies are mouthy, bitey, naughty and sometimes smelly. They may eat your kid's toys and pee in your house. They may chew up your favorite shoes or get into the Halloween chocolate. They can't stay home alone too long and if you don't train them well they will grow from little gremlins into big problems. Puppies are a bit commitment! If you are ready for the challenge, we are here to support you. We have great resources, a great trainer and lots of moral support as you explore the wonders of puppy parenthood! All of the pups have received their first puppy vaccinations and are dewormed and chipped. They will be neutered or spayed between 8-12 months of age at our cost. Their adoption fee is $525. Applications can be sent to savinggreatanimals.org. We review them in the order received. All puppy meet and greets take place in the foster home. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Peanut! Peanut and his littermates were surrendered by their owner whose dog had an 'accidental' litter. Their mom was a medium size Beagle mix dog. We can't be sure who dad was but we think he must have also been a mystery mix. The pups all have unique coloring. We think they will grow to be medium to large dogs. At around 7 weeks of age they are ranging from 7-10 lbs. Their full grown size is just an estimate but possibly in the 50 lbs range. From Peanut's foster: Peanut starts out a little reserved, then explodes into puppy cuteness and trust. In a new situation, he'll watch from afar, then jump in with all 4 paws. He knows what he's comfortable with and will not hesitate to back off and stand under a chair to observe if the situation changes. He looks like a serious puppy in his photos, but his personality is very goofy and playful! If you offer up your lap for snuggling, he will happily climb in. If you don't offer up your lap but you walk by his crate, he will vocally tell you that he thinks you should pick him up and let him play or cuddle. He is learning his beagle voice, which is still a puppy whine/cry, with a few barks leaking out as he learns. If you want to get this attention, food or toys are the way to go. He loves food. All food, at any time of day or night and regardless of whether he just finished a meal. He needs to be separated from other puppies during feeding time because he will eat his, and then push them out of the way to get to theirs too. Hand feeding or a puzzle feeder slows him down. Being food motivated is handy for training! Peanut would also like you to know he's excellent at pouncing on things, including shoes, soft toys and tennis balls. He also enjoys playing tug of war with his sister, which he tends to "win" because he weighs more than she does. Peanut is mischievous and a delight!        Puppies are mouthy, bitey, naughty and sometimes smelly. They may eat your kid's toys and pee in your house. They may chew up your favorite shoes or get into the Halloween chocolate. Story
This little ball of love has really brought so much joy to my life these last 2 years. Unfortunately in that time, she and my cat of 9 years do not get along and I’m beginning to worry for both of their safety. Newt would do best in home where she is the only pet and there are no children. She absolutely does not like kids. She loves to cuddle and give lots of kisses but also needs lots of play time and space to run around. I unfortunately cannot give her those things. She will be the best companion for an experienced dog owner who has the patience and time to work on her confidence.

Story
Bang is a medium sized (nearly 30 lbs) 1/2 Beagle and 1/2 Jagdt Terrier neutered male. He had one previous owner who lived on land and used him to flush out wild quarry for falconry (chased out rabbits but did not kill them). Bang is used to having a large outdoor space for running around and patrolling. I adopted him and realize he is not a city dog (my yard is not big enough) and needs more space and attention. Bang is good with other animals (cats, dogs, livestock, birds) and has been very gentle and playful with kids-I have only seen Bang with age 5 years and up. He was vet checked, is up-to-date on vaccines, and has good energy. Bang walks well on a harness and leash. Despite his age, he is overall healthy and has a lot to give. Bang likes to be pet gently and does not like "rough" housing. He will give a warning, but NO bite ever witnessed or reported. Bang is a great dog, very sweet, and would flourish in a home with a larger yard or outdoor space (farm) and some company.

Quick Facts  Name: Deuri Age: 7 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Beagle Mix Color: Brown and Black Weight: 16 kg Health History Vaccinations & Preventatives All vaccinations are complete and up to date.   My Story Hello there, future family! My name is Deuri, and I’m a charming and affectionate Beagle mix with a heart full of love. I’m excited to tell you a little about myself and why I think we’d make the perfect team.   Personality I’m a people-lover through and through! I’m always ready to greet new faces with a wagging tail and a happy heart. Whether you’re a close friend or someone I’ve just met, I’ll gladly nuzzle up for some attention. In fact, I’m known to roll over and show my belly as a way of saying, “Let’s be friends!” I’m also great with other dogs. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, but I especially enjoy playing with pups who are around my size or smaller. I haven’t had much experience with cats, but I’m so focused on my walks and my human that I might not even notice them.   On My Walks Walks are one of my favorite activities! I have a high energy level, which means I’m always ready for a good outdoor adventure. Sometimes, I might pull a little on the leash because I’m eager to explore, but I listen well and enjoy following your lead. A good walk or a fun trip to the dog park helps me burn off my energy, and afterward, I’m happy to relax at home with you.   Life at Home At home, I’m a mix of lively and laid-back. I’m just as comfortable running around a yard or park as I am curling up beside you after a day of play. I’m well-versed in both indoor and outdoor potty habits, making me adaptable to different routines. I have a gentle nature when it comes to food—I never guard my meals or treats, whether I’m sharing space with people or other dogs. I do have a charming habit of giving a soft bark when I want to express myself, whether it’s to say hello, ask for a treat, or let you know I’m ready for some playtime.   My Ideal Family I dream of a family that loves the outdoors as much as I do. Whether it’s exploring new trails, playing fetch in the yard, or visiting the local dog park, I’m happiest when I’m active and by your side. Here’s what I’m hoping for in my forever home: Active Companions: A family who enjoys walks, hikes, or other outdoor activities would be perfect for me. Loving Home: I thrive on love and companionship, so a family who’s around often would make me the happiest. Space to Explore: A yard to roam or regular trips to a park would be a dream come true.   Last Message If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy, energy, and plenty of cuddles into your life, I’m your perfect match. Let’s start our adventure together—I can’t wait to meet you! ##2251043##

Story
MEET HUNTER! HUNTER is a 1-1/2-year-old sweet Beagle-mix boy currently in a foster home in Seattle. He loves to be around people, and previously was in a different foster home with other dogs. He is still very puppyish but is very trainable! He can be a bit leash reactive, a common trait among many dogs, but in a home with another dog he was a model citizen. Hunter's ideal home is with someone who works from home or who is retired, since he doesn't like to be alone very much. He's quite vocal in an adorable way and will tell you his displeasure when you leave. Hunter loves everyone - he would be great for an active single person or couple, and he would do wonderfully with a family with kids over the age of 5 (only because he likes to jump up - he's still a puppy and learning). He weighs about 45 lbs. Please email for an application.
