***FENCED YARD REQUIRED***"Hello World, I’m Jax and I’m ready for my forever home where I can be your beagle buddy!I’m a pretty great guy! I’m initially shy but am super sweet if you give me the space and a chance. Once we trust one another I’m a “snuggle on the couch all the time” kind of guy or a BBFF - that’s a beagle best friend forever!I’m content with life’s simple pleasures - a lap around the block, sniffs in the yard, a ball to throw to myself, and don’t forget a comfy couch with a blanket for my head. Oh, and if you’d scratch my ears, that’d be grand!Beagle, yep, got that down, or well at least part of it. I love following my nose on walks and around the house and in the backyard and well, I like sniffing everywhere. Though, I’m the quietest one you’ll ever meet, rarely barking or making a peep.Little kiddos can be overwhelming to me, but another doggo friend who would help me continue to gain confidence would be the dream. I’m passive and respectful, happy to oblige, and patient to win their friendship, my heart’s desire.I’m well on my way to being crate trained, house trained, and practicing good house manners. All that to say, I might need a quick refresher but am well on my way!I’m decent on a leash, loving to sniff the world and every blade of grass along the way. Cars, sirens, and other city noises can sometimes be startling, so I’d appreciate a kind soul who would help me learn the ins and outs of the big world around me."Check out 2 more videos of Jax on our youtube channel:https://youtu.be/FOBgRDpk_p4https://youtu.be/pAPLJ18FpMQIf you are looking for a beagle buddy and your dog needs a dog, reach out to FCAR about me, Jax, joining your chill fam!Jax's date of birth is 09/17/2019 and he weighs about 26 pounds. All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. ***FENCED IN YARD REQUIRED***"Hello there, I'm Tacoma. I'm a bit shy, so it might take me a moment to warm up to you. But once I do, you'll find that I'm a gentle soul, always ready to lend a comforting presence. I love quiet moments, peaceful walks, and the simple joy of a soft bed. Life in the shelter is okay, but I dream of a home where I can feel safe and loved. I might be a little timid at first, but with patience and kindness, I know I can become your most loyal companion. Why should you adopt me? Because everyone needs a friend who will listen, who will be there, and who will love them unconditionally. That's me. Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Justin, the 2.5 to 3-year-old Beagle mix who's as sweet and affectionate as they come! Weighing in at a sturdy 28 pounds, Justin strikes the perfect balance between energy and chill vibes. He's always ready for a walk or a playful chase, but also loves nothing more than to lounge around with his favorite humans. One of Justin's most charming traits is how attentive he is to your voice. He thrives on pets and praise, and he's a gentleman at mealtimes, never begging or bothering at the table. Justin knows his "sit" command and is housetrained, making him an easy addition to a Beagle-experienced household. This lovable guy is crate trained; however, he is no longer crated overnight in his foster home.  He adores going for walks, especially when there's a chance to track some rabbits. Justin gets along well with other dogs and even goats! Justin is a friendly soul, winning hearts wherever he goes. While he’s not the biggest fan of car rides, he fares much better when he can sit with his person instead of being crated. After a good dose of exercise, he's perfectly happy to join you for a cozy couch session. Justin is looking for a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and play. He has strong hunting instincts, so he's best suited for someone who understands the Beagle spirit and can provide the structure he needs. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always eager to please, Justin is your guy!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. November 3, 2024, 6:49 pm

Story
TIME SENSITIVE! SPECIAL NEEDS! Trisha needs a home SOON! Remember Trisha? She came to us from a shelter a couple months ago. She was hit by a car about 6 months before being taken to the shelter but her owner didn't take her to the vet. We quickly learned that she is incontinent because the end of her spinal cord is severed. Trisha is happy, and playful and loves attention. She is not good with cats or any dog who seems dominant at all and may be most successful as an only pet. She loves people and would most likely be just fine with kids! Trisha would be happy and manageable in a home with a fenced yard for her to spend the day in. She could wear a diaper to come inside for family time and sleep in a crate at night. She will be more prone to urinary tract infections and will need regular medical care. We love Trisha and hope we can find someone else who will adore her and be able to manage her needs. Trisha has been spayed and vaccinated and we are happy to waive her adoption fee. Trisha is about 4 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Apply NOW at www.augustadogadoptions.org. Trisha is located near Staunton,Va.

Story
Badger comes from Cass, West Virginia, he was collectively cared for by local restaurants and people, he was in risk of going to a shelter. His official family in town did not properly care for him or contain him, he needed a home. At the time, I had ample time but with job changes and new commitments, I have come to the sad admittance that I am not giving him the love and attention he craves. He is a LOVING dog, he is not food motivated, he loves to cuddle more than anything else. He is leash trained, house trained, can sit, stay, “settle down.” He is easily trainable with the right tools. He loves children, he loves cats and he is spectacular with other dogs. He plays very gentle, is very lazy and cuddly but will also run wild if given the opportunity. He needs a fenced in back yard. He would do amazing with a family who has kids. He does have a right hip that he sometimes limps on but it’s been that way since he was a puppy. Overall, very healthy, trainable and wonderful.

These pups are in Harrisonburg, Virginia too!
