If you are interested in SKIPPY or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. SKIPPY is one of the most gentle souls in all the universe. He has deep brown heart melting eyes that always seem to be in awe of the big bright beautiful world around him. A couple of his favorite things are cuddle time with his foster family and sunning in the backyard. SKIPPY currently lives in a foster home with many dogs. He is never pushy and has zero desire to be the boss. SKIPPY’s kind, unobtrusive nature will make it easy for him to get along with all resident animals in his forever home. However, SKIPPY would also be perfectly fine as the only pup in the house, so he’s an easy addition to the family. If you are lucky enough to have sweet SKIPPY take a piece of your heart into his paw, he will hold on to it forever! To see even more pictures of SKIPPY, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/76fl8xixj60rfhyw0b3bs/AHB_bHWP1rVPd5FePq2DZUE ?rlkey=s96qez6fhllqlykv5nyoksi0t&st=8hhkalud&dl=0 SKIPPY is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. His $540 adoption fee covers the cost of transport to the eastern TN area For an adoption application on SKIPPY click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   Hi, Ermack here. I am going to cut to the chase: I find it's well past time for me to find my forever family. I mean, look at me??? Hello?! I am ADORABLE! The folks at the AHHS agree. Just ask the families that have adopted my siblings what amazing pups we are. I'm "good boy" material, promise! I won't ask for much..just some treats, snuggles, play time, and LOVE!  To meet me, it's rather simple. I'm hanging out at the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society located at 2101 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City, TN 37604. This means that you can pop in any afternoon this week and let the staff know you'd like to meet me. You've really got to see me for yourself as pics don't do my cuteness justice.  Email Halee@ahhumanesociety.org with questions, comments, or concerns and submit your adoption application at ahhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/.    Please note that this is a mixed breed puppy.  There is no guarantee on breed or adult size.  This puppy is in a foster home.  Contact Halee for more information halee@ahhumanesociety.org You may complete an application at https://ahhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/March 22, 2025, 4:22 pm

If so, he is SOOOOO guilty! This boy will just melt in your arms. He craves attention and loves to be right with you. If his floppy ears and puppy dog eyes weren't enough to get you, just know that this fella will love you endlessly.  Ladle is a 5-month-old mixed breed that will likely be medium sized when fully grown. He'd be well-suited for a home with dogs, and even cats. Like all pups, he will require some training, though we know he has the potential to make someone a fantastic companion.  Please note that this is a mixed breed puppy.  There is no guarantee on breed or adult size.  This puppy is in a foster home.  Contact Halee for more information halee@ahhumanesociety.org You may complete an application at https://ahhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/March 24, 2025, 9:19 am
