Story
MEET BOSLEY! Bosley is a wonderful Beagle/Corgi blend that was hit by a car and injured. Someone brought him to the Fort Worth shelter and he was put on the last call list and was going to be euthanized. We saw the video of a very sweet boy whose hours were numbered if we didn't step up! We had to save his life! He had a pelvic surgery about a year ago and is now TOTALLY HEALED and still looking for a new home! This 4 year old Beagle boy is handsome and a total sweetheart! He weighs 25lbs. He is a little cautious of strangers at first (prefers to run away) but once he feels comfortable with you, he is a friendly boy! (treats can win him over in 5 minutes!). Enjoys his own yard and not a fan of leash walking. He would do best in a calm home without too many new people coming in. He is calm and has such a sweet personality and is house trained and crate trained! He would do best with another dog in the household and someone home more than not. BONUS: He does not bay at all or bark too much or have any Beagle bad behaviors! Want to meet this sweetheart? EMAIL: mini-mutts@outlook.com (fosters/adopters must reside in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding areas only) ONE WEEK HOME TRIAL BEFORE ADOPTING! ************************************************** * NO DOGS OVER 25 LBS * NO APARTMENTS * NO CHILDREN UNDER 8 YRS

Story
Meet Wolfe Wolfe may have the big doe eyes and floppy ears of a beagle, but don’t expect a dramatic wolf howl—this sweet boy is more soft whimpers than wilderness calls. His quirky tail curls right around his little body, a sure sign he’s a true Texas mutt, made up of all the best parts. At around 25 pounds, Wolfe is the perfect lap-sized companion. Fair warning though—when he pops up on his back legs and motions “more” with his front paws, your heart (and snacks) don’t stand a chance. He has absolutely mastered the art of begging.Wolfe does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and people of all ages. He previously lived happily with another dog, but when his human mama developed Alzheimer’s, she could no longer care for him. Through no fault of his own, Wolfe found his way back to OHAR, where he’s now patiently waiting for a new forever home.If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and slightly mischievous lap dog with soulful eyes and a heart of gold, Wolfe is ready to curl up right next to you—tail and all. Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Story
Doofenschmirtz came with his name from the shelter, and truly acts like a Doof! He enjoys laying near people and staying close to his family. He has fun with stuffed animal toys. He has a lot of energy in bursts, but will often lounge during the day. He does well with kids and knows 'place.' He will use you as a pillow and loves to run in his dreams. He would do best in a house with some big dog friends, and probably not with cats or other small fluffy animals. He is a 'chowhound' as they say, but is in great health and is fully vaccinated. He has done well in boarding locations with other animals and would love a friend to run around with! Doof was rescued from the Carrollton animal shelter on Halloween 2024 after being moved there from the Denton animal shelter. He is up to date with all medical needs and is microchipped. He loves to sniff around in the backyard. He goes after any food that is left out (his favorite is bread), and will need more training to let go of food he shouldn't have. He is housebroken and has learned a lot over the last year about what it means to live in a home. We're looking for a new home for him after our job and travel situation changed. He's not an evil villain and would make a great friend to another dog!
