Bessie has a small cyst related to hormones, causing occasional episodes every other month where she may throw up and lose her appetite for a few days. She hasn’t been neutered, so her new family should be prepared for that. Bessie needs a loving home where she can get the time and attention she deserves. Benny is a senior boy with lots of energy, enthusiasm, love and affection. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with everyone. He would love to chase the cats if he could so might not be good in a home with cats. He loves a chance to use his Beagle voice but is not an excessive barker; only uses it when he has a reason. He loves being with his human almost as much as treat and meal times. He is not much for car rides, he is good about riding but whines seems nervous wondering where he’s going. Guessing in the past car rides did not end in fun activities for him. He’s a very social boy, loves humans of all sizes and ages and is always happy for rubs and attention. Benny has great house manners and although he uses a crate in his foster home he would be fine without one once he knows his routine. He is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and he is microchipped.

Meet Annie Mae! This 4-year-old Basset Hound/Weimaraner mix is as sweet as they come. She’s had a bit of a rough start, originally coming to us from a high-kill shelter in East Texas after her previous owner surrendered her for “barking at the FedEx delivery driver.” Despite that, Annie Mae is a friendly, neutral, and loving companion who just wants to be close to her people. Annie Mae was adopted once but was returned due to some separation anxiety, which causes her to howl when left alone. She’s currently on medication to help keep her calm, and her wonderful foster family is working hard to help her overcome this. She’s a world-class snuggler and loves curling up on the couch or bed for some quality cuddle time. Annie Mae is fantastic with other dogs, cats, and even farm animals! She’s also great with kids, making her a wonderful fit for families. We’re looking for a home with a family who can continue working with her on her separation anxiety and who can give her the support she needs. Annie Mae will need to be in a house (not an apartment or townhome) since she does become vocal when first left alone. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and truly lovable companion who will brighten your days, Annie Mae might just be the one for you.
