Calvins foster wants you to know he is a nice boy, very friendly to strangers. A people person. And he is able to stay quietly at home when we all go to work or school. He doesn`t like to stay inside the crate during the day. He will like the freedom of laying on the sofa or different area mats around the house as long as we keep him in the main living room or the lobby area. At night time he will be okay to go into his crate to sleep. But sometimes he would like to stay in open space. Whenever we are home, he would follow us where ever we go, or stay right near us to relax. He loves to go out for morning runs and evening walks.

Duke Ralphie came to us from a small town where he used to be safe to visit his friends and neighbors with no trouble. But something changed in a neighbor and she was out to get the little guy and would actually try to run over him. Duke Ralphie’s family actually loved him but they had no way to keep him safe so they agreed to let us help find him a new home. Duke Ralphie is possibly a beagle/jack russel/chihuahua mix. He may weigh in at about 25-30 pounds, but again he is not the typical little. This guy could run the Rice track, hike for miles, dog park, coffee shop, bar hop with the best of them. Oliver is a sweet 7 months old beagle mix who was rescued from an abandoned building of Houston. Oliver is a very adorable and loving puppy, who sleeps from 9 pm to 6 am without a peep. He is used to being by himself as his foster parents work. He lives with two doggie brothers but has not been tested with kitties. He is still a puppy, so he has some puppy energy and is playful. He is also trainable as he is very intelligent. A home with a fully fenced yard would be mandatory for him, as well as a family who can dedicate time, patience and love. Oliver is currently about 22 lb and fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Bronson is a package deal. His life long friend, Phoenix (in picture), must go with him. She is a matli-poo mix. Both dogs are trained well. I originally adopted Bronson on my way out of the Marine Corps in Aug of 2012. He was just turning 1 when I adopted him. I trained him well over 6 months,. I havent walked him with a leash for over 11 years now. Hes trained very well in that way, as well as general commands to direct him towards, away, sit or lay as a command before eating, etc. and both dogs do this well. Phoenix is a little more of the free spirit. Although she is trained well, she thinks every person and kid she sees is her friend. She will listen to not go towards them, but her initial instinct is to walk towards them. On leash they are essentially perfect.

7 year-old Dallas was an owner surrender. Despite having heart worms and kneecaps that dislocate easily, Dallas is a lively boy who loves to run after toys that are thrown! Dallas is around 15+ inches tall and a 32 pounds. Dallas is house broken with the use of a dog door. He leaves things alone except the many toys he finds to paly with! He loves to play tug of war with his foster siblings as well as beagle style fetch…you throw it and then chase after him to get it back! Dallas is a sweet, loving boy who can be very loud and vocal when crated. Both heart worm injections and knee surgery would require crate rest for a month or more for this boy. We have decided to do slow kill treatment for the heart worms with a year’s supply of Advantage Multi. Dallas will also need joint meds to make life comfortable. Hi I'm Boomer, If you're looking for a dog that enjoys living life at a slower pace and stopping to smell the roses, you may have found your perfect match. I was found by a manager of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant where I wandered into the kitchen through an open back door. The cooks started feeding me, the manager called Basset Buddies, and the rest is history. I'm now proving to be about the easiest foster that my foster parents have ever had (they've had about 70, so it's kind of a big deal). I'm a big boy coming in at around 70 pounds. I've got a funny little mole right on the top of my snout that people often mistake for a fly. I'll follow you around the house to show my loyalty and get some exercise. I'll sleep wherever you put me at night, whether it's a crate or a bed. When I sleep, I don't wake up until you get up. So no early morning wake up calls from this hound right here. I love to watch my humans cook, and I sometimes bark to let them know if they need to stir faster or take something out of the oven. I'm a PhD in potty training as I've never had an accident. When you let me out, there is no lingering around --- I get my business done quickly, and then like to stroll through the garden to smell the flowers and watch the birds. When I bark, I have a deep, muted bark that they say is pleasant and not high pitched or loud and annoying like the other dogs in my house. And speaking of dogs, I get along great with my three siblings and am just fine allowing them to be alpha. I'm estimated to be around 8 years old, so I'm definitely past the annoying chewing puppy years but still have some good years ahead of me.
