Story
Please contact Sagermark for more information about this pet. This sweet girl was picked up with her 7 puppies when they were 5 days old from a construction site. She is sweet and gentle, good with kids, other dogs and cats. She had never had a bath before and was a little scared but did very well. She is housebroken and has not had an accident in the house. She is super chill and just wants to be with her people and lay around. She loves laying in her bed which I think is her first. She is not a jumper and is learning how to play. She has been spayed, up to date on her vaccinations. She is heartworm positive and currently on medication. We are working in walking in a leash and learning how to sit. Please open your heart and home to this sweet girl. November 12, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Bronson is a package deal. His life long friend, Phoenix (in picture), must go with him. She is a matli-poo mix. Both dogs are trained well. I originally adopted Bronson on my way out of the Marine Corps in Aug of 2012. He was just turning 1 when I adopted him. I trained him well over 6 months,. I havent walked him with a leash for over 11 years now. Hes trained very well in that way, as well as general commands to direct him towards, away, sit or lay as a command before eating, etc. and both dogs do this well. Phoenix is a little more of the free spirit. Although she is trained well, she thinks every person and kid she sees is her friend. She will listen to not go towards them, but her initial instinct is to walk towards them. On leash they are essentially perfect.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Super SmartSmart, beautiful and confident! 9 month old Brittany will be the perfect missing piece to your family! She established herself with the other fosters right away and found her protector and her friends. This girl is something else! She joins in on a game of tug a war with the big dogs and they just move over and let her. When it's time for quiet, she prefers to snuggle into her crate. She is simply an amazing girl who will bring years of companionship to a loving family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   =============== Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . ADOPTION FEE:  The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, Microchip including a lifetime registration and spay/neuter.   PUPPIES   Texas State law requires that we sterilize any animal adopted through this agency.     This will normally occur between 5 and 6 months at one of our approved veterinarians at the expense of the rescue. Children under 8 years old  often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs.   In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Approval:  You will be notified via email once your application is approved.  Once notified, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our approved locations.   Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
