Story
Bandit is about 19 months old. She is affectionate and playful and wants to run with the big dogs. She is good with kids and and warms up to other dogs and people. She was adopted from a shelter for my mom who passed away shortly after adopting. She ran the yard with her sister who just adopted by a loving family. She would make a great addition to a family with other dogs or kids, or she would be great solo as well.

Story
Janey is sweet and energetic. We took her in so she wouldnt have to go to a shelter. Our dog that we already have is very old and we have cats. Janey has too much energy for our household. Also, she is not leash trained for walks but learns things quickly. We have a big backyard and just let her out to run out there but she sleeps inside the house. She doesnt attack our cats but she does chase them and want to play but gets too rough. So I wouldnt suggest her being adopted to anyone with cats. She loves playing tug of war with ropes and playing fetch with a tennis ball. Snuggles and belly rubs too! Janey is smart and sweet and needs a home where she can get more attention and a better match for her energy level. We are too busy and not home enough to give her all she needs.

Story
Meet Pixie!Sweet little Pixie is a loyal, protective companion. She is a beagle/terrier mix with some kind of herding dog in her. The only thing she wants in life is to be with her person and make them happy.Pixie came to foster care in June as a scared and depressed mama whose puppies were all adopted. On top of this she had an upper respiratory infection. As soon as she was feeling better she went to be spayed and discovered she had heartworm. She has since been treated and is feeling great.Pixie is a sweet 3 year old who is fully potty and crate trained. She does better with medium sized dogs, has not been around cats, and should be with older children due to her herding small children. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

She LOVES attention from all humans. With or without food. She even adores her canine friends. However, she has never been cat tested. Katie enjoyes getting all dressed up. Her foster Mama will doll her up and take her all around town. Katie is the best passenger princess. She will happliy navigate any outing or adventure by your side. Story
Friday (now known as “Maverick”) is a 2-year-old beagle/boxer mix. He was part of the Pups of the Week Litter featured in June of 2022. Maverick came back to Beagle Buddies when his family could no longer give him the care he needed. He is an exuberant and affectionate dog with a lot of energy. He is slender and streamlined and does not look much like a beagle. You see him and think, “That’s not a beagle at all!” …but just wait until he gets surprised, then you hear that bay! Maverick is very loving and loves to snuggle up next to you (or in your lap) on the couch. He has the best facial expressions. Maverick is currently working on manners as he doesn’t really understand personal space. His foster parents are working hard to teach him that jumping is only okay when invited to do so. He is extremely responsive to commands and to his name and he is crate trained. He doesn’t show any aggression to his foster family but is quite vocal and “talks” a lot. As you would expect in any boxer, he does use his paws a lot to communicate with you and to play. Maverick is quite slow to warm up to new people so the potential adopter will need to be patient and understand this. Maverick would do well in a home with active adults who can see to his exercise needs. Due to his current proclivity for jumping, if children are present in the home, it would be best if they were older because he is quite tall when he jumps up on his hind legs and could knock over a smaller child. Maverick is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Friday's back story: Mama Sunday came to DFW Beagle Buddies on June 24 when she and 4 one-week old puppies were found on the side of the road in Red Oak. With a high temperature of 103 that day, we were very concerned that the babies may not make it. Thankfully, mommy and all 4 babies got the all clear from the vet and settled in at their foster home. 6 days later, animal control reached out to us to let us know that there were two more babies! While the 2 additional babies were quite a bit smaller than the other group, all did well and got a clean bill of health from the vet! Since they came over the course of a week, we namedthis group the Pups of the Week! Mama appeared to be full Beagle and the puppies appear to be Beagle/Boxer mixes. Their estimated birthday is June 17, 2022. If you'd like to meet Friday aka Maverick, please apply at www.dfwbeaglebuddies.org/adopt!
