Meet Peggy! Peggy is a 7 week old beagle mix. She weighs about 3-4 lbs so will not be very big when full grown. Her mom is about 20-25 lbs. She has a sweet temperament and will fit into any home. She is currently in a home with other dogs ranging from 15 to 150 lbs and gets along great with everyone. She is working hard at crate training and potty training! She sleeps well in her kennel at night with her sister. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

UPDATE, MY SISTER FOUND HER FOREVER HOME, I'M STILL LOOKING FOR MINE!!! Updated: Fred has been neutered! Fred has been housebroken & create trained, he has learned the commands sit & stay. He is comfortable with a collar, he has 2, one for day to day use and a second training collar for leash training, (working on the leash training now, it's not going well, he's scared, but he will get over that with time), he is comfortable wearing both. Fred is very energetic and loves to explore, dig, chew, and eat. He has his own cage, blanket, toys, collars, leash, food bowl, (one that makes him slow down when eating). Fred is good with dogs that are bigger then him, smaller dogs he's not so good with. He loves kids. Fred is looking for a loving family with medium to high energy. Fred does sleep through the night. He has no known food allergies, he hasn't met a food he don't like yet.

Story
Meet Rory! A big personality in a small package, she came to DFW Beagle Buddies from the Longview shelter. She had 5 puppies - adorable little scruffy babies - who went with another rescue. She is SO SWEET and is a little lover. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, be mischievous, and loves playing with other dogs. She is a lovely little girl who will need a home that is willing to help her become a well-trained house dog - she's getting the hang of it in her foster home, but isn't quite used to it just yet! She will do best with a canine playmate and a backyard. Rory has a ton of love to give and would be a great family dog. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and never meets a stranger. Rory is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet Rory, please apply at www.dfwbeaglebuddies.org/adopt! Story
We are thrilled to introduce The Tenacious Puppies Department. Mommy Taylor and her companion Travis (who we assume is Daddy) came to us from the Canton shelter on May 17th, and on May 24th mommy had 5 beautiful puppies. Cassandra, Bolter, Florida, Aimee, and Clara Bow will be ready to go to their new homes starting July 12 when they are 8 weeks old. The puppies are playful, hyper, friendly, and very cute! We do believe they are purebred Beagles. In our experience, ideal puppy adoptive homes are patient, have time to provide training/exercise, have a canine playmate, have a fenced yard, and have no human kiddos under 6 years old. Our goal is always to find the right match between Beagle and family. The puppies will be able to go to their new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis on July 12, 2024. The foster-to-adopt process is so that the rescue can continue to provide all 3 sets of vaccines and their spay/neuter surgeries while they are enjoying time with their forever family! Let us know if you have any questions about the process or about whether a puppy is the right fit for your family.
