Zachariah, along with his sister Ava, arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife from the animal shelter on September 8, 2025. This happy-go-lucky beagle mix is bursting with personality! Zachariah is friendly to everyone he meets, with a tail that never stops wagging and a face that’s just too cute for words. He’s all boy—curious, energetic, and always ready for the next adventure. Whether he’s sniffing out fun in the yard or cuddling up for belly rubs, Zachariah brings a whole lot of heart to every moment. Come meet this little charmer—you’ll fall in love fast! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Ava, along with her brother Zachariah, arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife from the animal shelter on September 8, 2025. We couldn’t leave these cute little Beagle mix pups behind! Ava is the kind of dog who’ll quietly steal your heart. She’s sweet, pretty, and full of love, though she may need a little time to feel safe and settled. But once she warms up, Ava blossoms into the most loyal companion you could ask for—devoted, affectionate, and ready to love you to the ends of the earth. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted friend who’ll cherish every moment by your side, Ava is waiting to meet you. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. Copper #22390 9/9/22 Male; mixed breed Estimated age 3years Approximate weight 45# Heartworm negative UPDATE: Due to some inclement weather we had to move around a lot of dogs. Copper (due to his small size) was moved to a 5x5 kennel in the office. He has come totally out of his shell and is a DIFFERENT DOG!! Apparently the loud kennel setting kept this little fella on edge. He would be a perfect dog for a home with a secure fence. Copper is a nervous little guy. He has been with us over two years and has come a long way. He will do best in a home with a confident female dog that he can bond with and feel secure. He will need a fenced yard so he can stay safe. He is a great size and a healthy boy. All he needs is a family that will have patience and allow him time to feel at home. Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable.
