I’m Dennis, a 1-year-old Beagle/Jack Russel mix with an apricot and white coat that’s just as sweet as I am. I tip the scales at 42 pounds, and I’m neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m a friend to kids, dogs and cats alike. I’m a bit shy but give me a few minutes and a couple of treats and we’ll be fast friends. I am learning house manners and quickly catching on to potty training. I know how to use the doggy door and everything! I am very gentle when I take treats. I enjoy romping around in the backyard and playing with the other foster dogs. Sitting alongside as you garden is another special service I provide. I also enjoy toys and chew bones. Besides the occasional romp, I am low energy and enjoy taking naps on the couch throughout the day and snuggling with people when we can. But if you are up for a hike or other adventure, I am happy to go along and be by your side. I do guard my home and people strongly. I will need to be introduced to other dogs away from the home. I am great meeting new people and dogs at festivals and restaurants. But at home I will give loud barks to let everyone know I am head of security. What can I say? I can be a bit feisty. I don’t mind cats. I have met them several times and I just don’t bother with them. I am quite a funny dog too and will sit in your lawn chair to relax and do other silly things. I’m currently in Franklin, TN, but for the right home, I can be transported to other states. Please note, there is a transport fee. Are you the loving home I’ve been dreaming of? Cute.little Bubs was born without front legs. He came out of a drug house covered with fleas. He gets around mostly by hoping and sliding on his belly. We have gotten him a w/c and hes slowly learning to use it. He's an adorable little guy. Bubs is loving new adventures. He's been great with other dogs..sometimes a little intimated by bigger dogs. Bubs is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. Henry is a handsome hound mix who loves to play and spend time with people. Henry is special, he was found as a stray at about 3yrs old so we don't know his background and what challenges he faced before coming to the shelter.Henry needs someone who is patient and willing to work with him while being mindful of his triggers. We have found that Henry doesn't like to be pulled by his collar, nor does he like his head being restrained, it makes him anxious. While Henry may have some triggers, he's incredibly responsive to positive reinforcement and is eager to learn and grow with the right guidance. He likes to please and he is very smart so with some positive guidence, he'd make a great companion.Henry loves to play but also likes to chill and relax with his people at the end of the day. Having been in foster care, Henry has had some house training and recognizes the command sit. Can you find it in your heart to take Henry in? Gizmo is a 5-year-old Beagle Hound mix. He would like to be king of his castle and live his best life as an only dg. He is looking for a home that includes car rides and snuggles. He is probably not a good fit for a home with kids unless they have lots of dog experience. Due to his history of lack of food, he is very protective of his food which could cause issues with kids. Out of respect for our foster’s time and privacy we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file. Therefore the first step in our adoption process is to fill out the form on our website. We have one form that is printable and one that is an on-line fillable form. Our agency is ran by volunteers.
