Story
❤️ Jill ❤️ Another new face from City Of McMinnville Animal Control! She's a sweet youngster who desperately needs out of the shelter. Jill was happy to interact at Playcare and get some exercise. She is starting to have reactivity issues with other dogs, which is very common in a shelter environment. Jill would flourish in a home with regular exercise and socialization! She was picked up as a stray with Jack on 7-30-24.

Story
Roo is a big active ball of loving fur. She loves to play fetch all day long if you let her. And loves her petting and cuddle time. Her safe space is cuddling underneath covers. She is very hyper and very active. She is 3 years old and we adopter her when she was 4 months old. Unfortunately we are moving to a different state and we just can't take her with us. We are downgrading to an apartment and just won't have the room for her to be able to fully thrive

Story
Bodie has been the perfect companion. I sadly had to move jobs and I cannot leave him alone for that long. He has severe seperation anxiety so I normally crate him for 4-5 hours. I wouldn't be giving him away, but I cannot put him through my horrible schedule. He needs someone who likes to stay at home. He is good with kids, other dogs, and cats. He will fit in perfectly!

Story
This dog has had a rough life (1st picture tethered in the winter after his owner passed, 2nd picture in the shelter, 3rd picture with our rescue) Tiny, a beagle/shepherd mix was saved from the shelter just in time. I got him out within a few hours of euthanasia . Fast forward to now, I am looking for an adopter who will give this boy plenty of attention. When I got him, he was quite nippy and he originally scared both a "rescue" and a foster when I tried to transfer him. I kept him here to address his issues and resolved everything except I have not had time to get him over his fear of nail clippers. He loves the cats, good with most dogs, prefers women and really loves rides in the car. He needs experienced adopter with no kids because of being nippy when I first got him, as he can possibly revert back in a strange home. I taught him to dance a little (SEE VIDEO BELOW PICTURE) and he is a real cool dog. He is 8 and a half years old, completely vetted and all shots

Story
If you are interested in SKIPPY or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. SKIPPY is one of the most gentle souls in all the universe. He has deep brown heart melting eyes that always seem to be in awe of the big bright beautiful world around him. A couple of his favorite things are cuddle time with his foster family and sunning in the backyard. SKIPPY currently lives in a foster home with many dogs. He is never pushy and has zero desire to be the boss. SKIPPY’s kind, unobtrusive nature will make it easy for him to get along with all resident animals in his forever home. However, SKIPPY would also be perfectly fine as the only pup in the house, so he’s an easy addition to the family. If you are lucky enough to have sweet SKIPPY take a piece of your heart into his paw, he will hold on to it forever! To see even more pictures of SKIPPY, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/76fl8xixj60rfhyw0b3bs/AHB_bHWP1rVPd5FePq2DZUE ?rlkey=s96qez6fhllqlykv5nyoksi0t&st=8hhkalud&dl=0 SKIPPY is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. His $440 adoption fee covers the cost of transport to the middle TN area. For an adoption application on SKIPPY click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
Are you looking for a dog who loves walks but also enjoys being a couch potato? Holly Kate might be a perfect match for you. You would never guess that she is 9 years old by the way she wiggles when it is time for walks or snacks. As active as she is during walks, she also enjoys her afternoon naps and cuddling on the couch. She is friendly and playful with children, however she does need to be the only dog in the house. Holly Kate has been spayed and microchipped and is current on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. You can welcome this sweet girl into your home for $85. **Please note All New Leash Dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a tie out or chain and must be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard.**
