Story
Are you looking for a new fishing buddy? Do you like to hike and enjoy the outdoors? We have the perfect dog for you. Meet Stephen! Stephen is a very energetic puppy who loves adventures and playing with other dogs. He would do best in a home with a backyard where he can run and play, but also would like to sleep in a nice comfy bed in the house. Stephen is already neutered, microchipped, and is current on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. If you are ready to meet your new best friend, you can adopt Stephen for $150. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out" or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard.**

Story
Meet Fred! Fred is a 4 year old beagle who came to us from animal control very skinny and continuing to lose weight. After running several tests, we found that he doesn't digest his food properly and needs medication added to his food to help him properly absorb the nutrients. Since being started on the medication, he has gained weight and is a happy, friendly guy. His foster mom had a farm so he has been exposed to cats, dogs, chickens, and other animals and he did great with them. He will need to be kept on the medication for life and we would be happy to answer any other questions that you have. Fred has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a home, you can adopt him for $150. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out" or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard.**

Story
Oliver is a super cute and energetic puppy who loves to play. I adopted him as a small puppy from a small town 2 hours outside of Nashville after seeing an ad online. My situation is the reason I think he would be happier at another home. I got divorced about a year ago. And our family dog goes back and forth with my kids. So I got Oliver to keep me company when the kids were not here, and then he would have a friend to play with when the kids and our other dog were here. But I didn’t realize that’s confusing for Oliver. He gets anxious about this other dog who comes into his house every 3 days and he barks a lot. On top of that, my job is going back in the office (I had been working from home) so now I hate the thought of Oliver being at the house alone so much. Bottom line, he would be happier with a new home where he can get the focus he deserves. I love him, but I want him to have a better life than I can give him. Note: Fee is only to get serious enquirers.

Story
Bruno, 6 months Looking for a family home or someone that can give him the time and love he deserves! I am out of home around 10-12 hours because of work and I can’t come home to take him out potty or give him continuous attention. I am also out of town often and have to leave him with caretakers. He deserves a little more stability. Bruno is very sweet and loving. He loves to play and is good with kids. He has all his shots and is a healthy puppy. Because he is so young, he hasn’t been neutered per the vet’s recommendation until he is 8 months old.

Story
This dog has had a rough life (1st picture tethered in the winter after his owner passed, 2nd picture in the shelter, 3rd picture with our rescue) Tiny, a beagle/shepherd mix was saved from the shelter just in time. I got him out within a few hours of euthanasia . Fast forward to now, I am looking for an adopter who will give this boy plenty of attention. When I got him, he was quite nippy and he originally scared both a "rescue" and a foster when I tried to transfer him. I kept him here to address his issues and resolved everything except I have not had time to get him over his fear of nail clippers. He loves the cats, good with most dogs, prefers women and really loves rides in the car. He needs experienced adopter with no kids because of being nippy when I first got him, as he can possibly revert back in a strange home. I taught him to dance a little (SEE VIDEO BELOW PICTURE) and he is a real cool dog. He is 8 and a half years old, completely vetted and all shots

Roo is a big active ball of loving fur. She loves to play fetch all day long if you let her. And loves her petting and cuddle time. Her safe space is cuddling underneath covers. She is very hyper and very active. She is 3 years old and we adopter her when she was 4 months old. Unfortunately we are moving to a different state and we just can't take her with us. We are downgrading to an apartment and just won't have the room for her to be able to fully thrive

Story
Steve has heart-stopping good looks, accented by his floppy ears! And nothing seems to rattle this way too cool boy, except maybe moles. We took him for a day out at a farm recently and we couldn't figure out why he kept barking at the grass. Can't say we've ever seen that before. It wasn't until the owner of the farm told us that she had moles that we figured out what Steve was carrying on about. He didn't get a chance to dig any moles up but he was definitely on the hunt! After a long day of searching for moles and meeting farm animals, Steve let us know he was tired and ready to return to New Leash on Life by jumping in the car. Of course, he got in on the driver's side but since he's only ten years old, he doesn't have his license yet. Sorry Steve! In case you're wondering, Steve is what we call a Bagle Hound, a Basset/Beagle mix. Typical of his mix, he's laid-back and easy-going, he does well with kids, and other dogs. If this cool dude sounds like he would fit in with your family, make an appointment to spend some time with Steve then you can adopt him for $75. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be allowed inside - especially at night and during extreme weather. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced-in yard. ** Not ready to adopt? Help care for Steve with your donation to New Leash on Life. (Pet ID D22-125)
