Cosmo is a wonderful dog. Cosmo knows sit, upsit, wait (stay), down, relax, sitting for crossing road, walking on a leash, crawl, and spin. Always learning! He is extremely well behaved and crate-trained. Great with kids, playful with other dogs. Cosmo is in a new apartment. He came from a quiet townhouse and was the only home he knew. The smaller space has caused a bit of cabin fever. He went from 2 owners to 1. Cosmo is very active and requires someone who can keep up with him sustainability since it causes pain flares for me. I continue to provide what he needs but need to think long-term. A backyard is what he needs. Maybe even a dog friend! He also loves training, agility, new parks/places, car rides, adventures to breweries, sniff walks, etc. and is extremely funny. He loves Yardstick day care and loves dog walkers and sitters. He has never met a stranger. Cosmo comes with Treo, tons of treats, toys, his crate, etc.! I just want him to have a great family with forever.

This dog has had a rough life (1st picture tethered in the winter after his owner passed, 2nd picture in the shelter, 3rd picture with our rescue) Tiny, a beagle/shepherd mix was saved from the shelter just in time. I got him out within a few hours of euthanasia . Fast forward to now, I am looking for an adopter who will give this boy plenty of attention. When I got him, he was quite nippy and he originally scared both a "rescue" and a foster when I tried to transfer him. I kept him here to address his issues and resolved everything except I have not had time to get him over his fear of nail clippers. He loves the cats, good with most dogs, prefers women and really loves rides in the car. He needs experienced adopter with no kids because of being nippy when I first got him, as he can possibly revert back in a strange home. I taught him to dance a little (SEE VIDEO BELOW PICTURE) and he is a real cool dog. He is 8 and a half years old, completely vetted and all shots

Steve has heart-stopping good looks, accented by his floppy ears! And nothing seems to rattle this way too cool boy, except maybe moles. We took him for a day out at a farm recently and we couldn't figure out why he kept barking at the grass. Can't say we've ever seen that before. It wasn't until the owner of the farm told us that she had moles that we figured out what Steve was carrying on about. He didn't get a chance to dig any moles up but he was definitely on the hunt! After a long day of searching for moles and meeting farm animals, Steve let us know he was tired and ready to return to New Leash on Life by jumping in the car. Of course, he got in on the driver's side but since he's only ten years old, he doesn't have his license yet. Sorry Steve! In case you're wondering, Steve is what we call a Bagle Hound, a Basset/Beagle mix. Typical of his mix, he's laid-back and easy-going, he does well with kids, and other dogs.
