Story
DOG (Dee-Oh-Gee), the beagle who came to with paralysis in her hind legs, is now in search of a long-term foster or a foster-to-adopt home. She is mobile, she is fast and she's taking life by the horns. However she does come with some limitations which I will touch on in a moment. Yes you heard that right, she is up, she is mobile, she can walk and she can definitely run. The only thing you will notice is her gait is just a little off and that should change as she rebuilds all of her muscles. - DOG is a 2 year old very petite beagle. - She's currently a bit heavier than Id like but her exercise is limited as her foster doesn't have a fenced yard. She should ideally stay between 20-25lbs. - DOG is friendly with other dogs and adores people. - She is not cat or bunny friendly! - She is mostly house and crate trained at this stage. - SHE DOES REQUIRE A SECURELY FENCED YARD since she’s quite the active pup and has a nose that she doesn't ignore. - As a retired rabbit dog, she will need gradual exposure and confidence-building in public settings. Take her to a new grassy field or hiking trail, and she’ll be overjoyed; however, a trip to the pet store might leave her feeling a bit shy. - An apartment or townhouse simply WON’T provide the happiness she deserves. She will not be happy with a home where she has to be walked when outside. She's a free spirit and after everything she's been through with this recovery, she deserves to be happy. There are a few important considerations: - SHE NEEDS TO BE IN A HOME WITHOUT OVERLY ENERGETIC DOGS. A single misstep—whether it’s a jump, a landing, or a tumble with another dog—could set her back to square one in her recovery. - NO JUMPING OFF BEDS, COUCHES OR STAIRS IS ALLOWED. While we can’t guarantee that she won’t need to rehab or even surgery if this ever happens again, we can say that with careful management and supervision, she should thrive. The original injury stemmed from a jump off a elevated platform in her previous yard while playing with other dogs, so vigilance is key. Located In North, South Carolina (Orangeburg) REDUCED FEE $300 (Partial Sponsors) - WAIVED if spay is performed by the adopter. Yes there is a contract that would need to be signed to ensure this ? Story
Demi is a loving, active dog who needs a stable, supportive environment to help her reach her full potential! Location: Lexington, SC (fostered in Gilbert, SC) Name: Demi Age: 2 years (DOB: 11/23/22) Breed: Beagle Mix – Dad is reportedly a full-blooded Beagle, and mom is a hound mix. She weighs 34 lbs. Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies, DHLPP, and bordetella vaccines, as well as heartworm and flea prevention; spayed. Good with Dogs, Cats, and/or Kids: - Dogs: Loves dogs and thrives in their company. - Cats: Tolerates cats and will allow them to sleep near her but doesn’t actively seek their companionship. She has never shown aggression toward cats. - Kids: Demi has been around a rambunctious 2-year-old nephew and seemed uncomfortable with the loudness and activity level. She might do better with older, calmer children, but younger kids are not her preference. With time and exposure, she could potentially warm up. Aggression or Medical Issues: No formal aggression issues. Sensitive about her back right foot due to a past injury where she lost a toenail (specifically, grooming this area can be challenging). Given pepcid & zyrtec as needed for acid reflux (does like gagging; vet thinks it may be result of a seasonal allergy). House/Crate Trained: House-trained (only one accident when settling in at foster’s house). Crate-trained & will enter the crate when feeling scared or threatened. Additional Info/Personality: Demi is initially timid but warms up quickly, especially when another dog is present. She’s a follower and benefits from having a confident dog in the household. Raised with large dogs and plays accordingly. Enjoys doggie daycare, where she gets exposure to new people and dogs. Prefers a harness over a collar or slip leash for walking. She adjusts well to a leash once she understands her surroundings, but would do best with a fenced yard for additional freedom. Demi is scared of loud devices like Roombas/vacuums, lawn mowers, and weed eaters. Needs heavy duty toys. - She has blossomed during her foster period, gaining confidence through interactions with her foster sibling and other dogs. She loves sprinting around yards and playing energetically. Demi would thrive in a home with at least one confident, playful dog, Owners who can continue structured activities like daycare or other frequent mental enrichment, and a family willing to be patient as she continues building her confidence. Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

Story
This lovely lady is Bella, an 8-10 year old beagle mix who came to us from a local shelter. Bella is a happy, silly, sniffy hound girl who loves everyone she meets. She is thriving in a foster home, learning all she needs to become the ultimate family girl! She is a snugglebug, loves treats, and is a sucker for a comfy bed! She is thriving in foster, here's what they have to say: "She is a sweetheart! She is house trained, sleeps in her bed all night long, walks great on the leash with her harness. She will get into the crate voluntarily at times but gets nervous when it is closed upshe would rather be in her bed. She is good around our dogs and pretty much ignores them, but prefers people for sureshe is attached to me. She has pretty much ignored the cats which is great. She has been around kids of all ages and does so well, very mellow and sweet towards them." We promised Bella that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. Story
This soulfull boy is Hank, a 2.5 year old beagle who came to us with his brother, Waylon as owner surrenders due to no fault of their own. These boys are short, chunky boys who are sweet as pie. They have been living outside for the past year, but they do have some knowledge of potty training! They are a bit shy at first, but they are spunky and silly once they get comfortable! Waylon and Hank are ready for the good life, one where comfy couches and lots of snacks reign supreme! We promised Hank that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life.
