Story
Hello world. My name is Kay Baby. I am part of the ditch babies. Our names are Sawyer, Bowe, Everett, Troy and me, Kay Baby I love belly rubs and being held. On May 5th through most of the day on the 6th there had been bad rain storms. Very frightening. Everett was the brave one and went out of the ditch to the road on the morning of May 6th. A nice lady was passing by and saw him. She stopped and caught him. But while doing so, she spotted another one of us. After numerous times trying to catch the baby, she left. The baby in the ditch worried her so Angelina contacted a neighbor who is a dog rescuer. The dog rescue lady got in touch with my foster parents and their rescue, Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c3. So on their way home, they drove past where Everett was found. Upon getting out of the vehicle and calling Puppy, Puppy, Puppy, 3 of us jumped out of the underbrush. Next 3 were Bowe, Sawyer, and Baby Kay. But the last fellow, Troy, was terrified. Instead of being brave and being saved, he ran and hid in a culvert with water flowing through. Daddy Glenn climbed in (even though he has claustrophobia) and saved Troy. Today we are fat, sassy and ready for our own families. We are all very sweet, smart and love to be held along with belly rubs. We would be perfect for families, hiking, camping, going to the lake or any activity with you. I am ready to come home. Please request an application to begin my journey. Story
Adoption Donation   $ 599 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx. 3 years old as of 6/13/24 Weight: 25  lbs.   Meet Dixie, the sweetest beagle mix you could ever meet. She wants nothing more than to be loved (and eat). With a great disposition she's perfect for a family. She's great with young kids and pretty much any animal, she's paid no mind to cats, rodents, chickens, and horses. She is house trained but since she's quiet in the house it's important to watch her body language to know when she needs a potty break.   IMPORTANT, Dixie does NOT like to be left alone or crated and will need a home where someone is always around. When left alone she will counter surf and get into anything she can reach but prefers food items.   At night time she will curl up in bed under the covers with you and always wants to be touching some part of you. A fenced yard is best since although she's quickly learning her name she is a hound and WILL follow her nose. She does love balls, car rides and bones, which she will take and hoard it in her bed but is not possessive and hasn't minded when her foster siblings go near or take them.   An all around gem, she does chew her paws occasionally which appears to be an anxiety or maybe an allergy. Please reach out with any questions or for a meet and greet, this diamond in the rough will win your heart with one glance of those amber eyes.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  avengerow@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in.
