Story
Meet the delightful Trinket, a spirited and affectionate girl seeking a forever family to share her life with. Recently, her foster mom introduced her to a group of school-aged children, and it was a match made in heaven. Trinket basked in the attention, enjoying an afternoon filled with snuggles, pets, tasty treats, and plenty of puppy kisses. In her foster home, Trinket shares space with three other dogs and loves to romp and play, especially with the larger hound and her two feisty chihuahua companions. No longer content to observe from a distance, she has fully embraced her playful side.Over the past weeks, Trinket has truly blossomed. Her foster mom has noted some of her natural instincts, like her keen sense of smell. Trinket delights in pursuing squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits, demonstrating her hunting prowess. While she isn’t a chronic barker, she does have a purposeful bark, ensuring her humans are aware of any visitors, whether it’s a delivery at the door or a car pulling into the driveway.Given Trinket’s enthusiasm for chasing small animals, her instinct to keep her family informed, and her high energy, her foster mom believes she would thrive in a home that offers:- A secure, fenced-in yard- Another energetic dog for companionship- An active family, particularly those with children over the age of sevenTrinket is both house-trained and crate-trained, quickly settling into her crate when tempted with a tasty treat. Her foster mom is also diligently working on enhancing her leash walking skills. If you have a soft spot for beagles, Trinket is sure to steal your heart!Name: Lovely TrinketBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 24 poundsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 7Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana Tx   IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Hello world. My name is Kay Baby. I am part of the ditch babies. Our names are Sawyer, Bowe, Everett, Troy and me, Kay Baby I love belly rubs and being held. On May 5th through most of the day on the 6th there had been bad rain storms. Very frightening. Everett was the brave one and went out of the ditch to the road on the morning of May 6th. A nice lady was passing by and saw him. She stopped and caught him. But while doing so, she spotted another one of us. After numerous times trying to catch the baby, she left. The baby in the ditch worried her so Angelina contacted a neighbor who is a dog rescuer. The dog rescue lady got in touch with my foster parents and their rescue, Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c3. So on their way home, they drove past where Everett was found. Upon getting out of the vehicle and calling Puppy, Puppy, Puppy, 3 of us jumped out of the underbrush. Next 3 were Bowe, Sawyer, and Baby Kay. But the last fellow, Troy, was terrified. Instead of being brave and being saved, he ran and hid in a culvert with water flowing through. Daddy Glenn climbed in (even though he has claustrophobia) and saved Troy. Today we are fat, sassy and ready for our own families. We are all very sweet, smart and love to be held along with belly rubs. We would be perfect for families, hiking, camping, going to the lake or any activity with you. I am ready to come home. Please request an application to begin my journey. Story
Hello. Our names are Chief (m) and Addy (f). We have to be the sweetest two babies in the world. Our foster parents think we have Beagle in us. We love picking up scents. When we are in full beagle-sniffing mode, our tails are up in the air, wiggling with joy. It is something to watch us investigate everything. We are not big barkers. We have yet to do the Beagle baying. Throw your head up and bay. We are dog and people social. Chief is very people and treats social, whereas Addy is more reserved. She will warm up to you very quickly. We have been around children and babies. We do not have any manners (jump up). We are sort of house-trained. There were originally three of us when we were found on a deserted road with no houses or people. The family who rescued us was driving home from the grocery store. Our whole world became a bright, fun place. We are so healthy and happy. We are ready to have our own furever home like our brother. We want to play in the leaves with you, go to the apple orchards, search for wild blueberries, and go to the beach or lake. But most of all, we would love to play in the snow and cuddle beside the fireplace. Please send an email to alittlelonger2home@gmail.com requesting an application. Once the application is submitted, the deposit is submitted to reserve me for you to adopt. Story
Hello. Our names are Alice, Trixie, and Terry. We are the sweetest, happiest girls you have ever met. No one really knows how or when we got there, but one day, a lady saw us. Like most rescue dogs, it is so hard to believe what people can do to a family member. Our story begins in September 2024 (the hottest month). A lady was driving home from Dollar General. This is a rural area. Some businesses have closed or been abandoned and are run down. In our case, we were in an abandoned car lot. The office (shack) was run down and closed up tight. There was an old broken down car there. This was where we made it home. The lot was fenced off. Even though we could get out if we wanted, we knew it was safer to stay in the yard. As I mentioned before, a lady saw us. She went home and came back, and we were terrified of her. She crawled under the car and put a blanket on the ground for us to lay on. She also brought a bowl of water, food, and treats. After a month, we trusted her and loved getting her to pet us. One day, our foster mom came and took us to the rescue. So, here we are, ready to go home. Trixie is sweet, not well-mannered, but anxious to learn and treat-motivated. She wants to please you and is house-trained. She loves car rides, playing, making you laugh, and begging for attention. She must have been added to the pack last. Alice is incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and gentle. She loves to hug, is great on a leash, is house-trained, and knows some commands. Someone spent a lot of time with her. She loves car rides. Terry is incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and gentle. She would be thrilled to spend the day next to her person and loves being outside with you. She is house-trained and loves car rides.
