Story
Most of the time resource guarding does not seem to be a problem but she has growled and snapped at a puppy that approached her while she was eating. She tends to be more respectful of older dogs regarding this. She also will try to steal food from the table and counters if she thinks you're not watching. She hasn't had an accident in our house in a while but has had them when we've brought her to other peoples' homes, so she needs to be supervised. 45. Has this dog ever been around children? What ages? Yes (3 and 5 yrs) 46. How does this dog respond to other dogs? Gets along with a variety of dogs 47. How does this dog respond to cats? Gets along with cats, but will chase. She doesn't hurt them, just has high prey drive and is curious 48. How does this dog respond to strangers? Very friendly with everyone but will bark while in the yard when people walk by 49. Has this dog ever killed or injured another animal? If yes, please explain. No, but tried to eat a wild baby rabbit once

Hi, I'm Lee! I'm a super friendly and loving boy that adores people so much it makes me get the zoomies!!! Even though I'm a happy boy now, I haven't always been this way... For the majority of my life, I lived in a tiny cage at an animal testing laboratory and was subjected to painful experiments every day. Now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am loving my new life! Despite everything that I've been through, I am such a joyous dog now. I do well with other friendly dogs, too! I am active and playful and my ideal forever home will be one with lots of fun adventures and play opportunities! I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion ever for my adopter. Could you give me my forever home? My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
Hi there! My name is Doug, I'm the sweetest and most gentle beagle boy. I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? Now that I've been rescued by beagle Freedom Project, I'm loving my new life and gaining confidence every day. Despite my rough beginning, I am a gentle and sweet soul. I love exploring, whether it's going for a long walk in the park or just sniffing about in a yard. While I get along well with other dogs and would LOVE a home with a friendly pup friend, I haven't had much exposure to children or cats yet. I would absolutely thrive in a patient home with those excited to have a furry family member! I hope someone notices me soon... could you be my adopter? I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, lots of love! Hi there! I'm Cookie, a super sweet and loving beagle boy! I'm such a happy pup; don't you just love my adorable and silly smile? I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? I'm so thankful to have been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, because now I'm starting to thrive! I can be a little nervous at first, but once i trust you, I'll be sure give you lots of affection and engage in some goofy playtime! I have a moderate energy level, so I'll make a great adventure buddy or perfect snuggle companion. I'll do best in a home where I can be your one and only animal as other dogs and cats seem to scare me. I hope an adopter notices me soon! Sometimes, I still have bad dreams about my time in the laboratory and wake up feeling so scared... could you give me my forever home so that I'll know no one will ever hurt me again? I would prefer a home that has: no other animals, adults-only, lots of love! Story
Hi there, I'm Ace, an adorable and sweet senior beagle boy! I love people, other dogs, and cats! I spent nearly all of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? It's hard for most people to imagine that dogs and cats are used in cruel laboratory experiments every day, but it's the sad truth. Luckily, Beagle Freedom Project rescued me and is fighting to save other animals in laboratories, too! Since I've been rescued, my friendly personality has blossomed. I'm loving and silly! Have you ever seen a dog sit in a chair like a human? Well, that's my favorite spot! I love lounging in the sunshine outdoors or curling up next to my people to cuddle on the couch. I also loves romping and playing; but I still have a puppy-like flair, despite my age, and can sometimes mistake TV remotes for toys! But hey, nobody's perfect! I'm so hopeful that an adopter will notice me soon. It's common for older dogs to be overlooked, but I promise to be the life of the party in my forever home. Could you be my forever family? I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, adults-only, lots of love! Story
Hi there! I'm Enzo, a sweet and friendly beagle boy with lots of love to give! I can be a little but shy at first because of my past, but I absolutely love every person I meet. I spent years living in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Most people don't know that animal testing involves experimentation on sweet dogs like me... but, now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am loving growing into the happy boy that I was always meant to be! I adore people, sniffing about with my beagle nose, and gently playing. I can be scared of other dogs because, until recently, I was never allowed out of my laboratory cage to play with them, but it's possibly that I could thrive with the right pup companion. Either way, I hope to find an adopter that will make me the apple of their eye! Could you be my forever family?
