Don't let her serious face fool you, this gal is actually quite jolly. With her sweet personality and medium energy, she's the perfect companion for lounging in the sun or taking a car ride-she's great in the car! Holly is mostly house trained and gets along wonderfully with her foster family's four dogs, always calm and friendly when meeting new people or pups. Story
Meet George! George is a 24lb tan and white beagle and with one look will steal your heart! You will never tire of his sweet pleading eyes and playful spirit. Beagles have a loveable nature and are one of the most loyal breeds. Led by his nose and he DOES have a nose for news, George is quick to get into your business and likes to be in the midst of everything though at the same time can bring an occasional shy come hither stuff. He's a fun and fascinating little guy. So come meet your furever friend at Saving Grace! Request a visit with sweet George today! **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: " George loves a hike! He was so excited to be on the trail, especially when near the front and did great for the whole 3 miles. His tail was wagging the whole time and he was very friendly with other dogs and humans. He would be great for someone who wants a smaller but still active dog".

Story
Porthos is a 6-7 year old Beagle who is sweet but very scared - he has obviously been mistreated by humans, so we are going slowly with him to gain his trust. He will need compassionate and loving humans to help him get over his fear. HOWEVER - he loves, loves dogs. They are validating for him and he will need a home with dogs to loosen him up. He doesn't seem interested in cats, but does love dog friends! Porthos is hw-, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. **Extra bonus points if you get his name reference!** To adopt Porthos, please go to apply.neshamarescue.org

Story
Chelsea was saved from a situation where she had been involved in a fight and she has some scars on her face because of it. She is so sweet though, and readily wants pets and love from humans. She gets along well with nice dogs, and actually would do best in a home with another dog. She's good with cats and would be a great friend in a chill, low-key house (especially if she can sleep on the couch!) She was recently spayed, and is up to date on vaccines and HW-. She is about 9 or 10 years old and 26lbs. Please consider this sweet gal. Apply at apply.neshamarecue.org

Story
I found this baby on the side of the road during a work trip in Virginia last week. She had no collar or tag and looked as if she hadn’t eaten in several weeks. After checking for a chip and reaching out to/posting on all lost and found and shelter pages, I haven’t had any luck finding her family – it seems like she was abandoned. She is incredibly friendly – she came up to me and let me pick her up like a baby and has not shown an ounce of aggression toward me or my small children, even while feeding.   She is constantly looking for affection and snuggles – if she hears someone’s voice or sees them come to her, her tail starts thumping without fail. She loves to come up and wait for pets and could spend all day getting her chin rubbed. Unfortunately, she is rather afraid of my boyfriend’s dog (he’s about the size of a small horse and she only barks when they’re both in the house – when outside or around smaller dogs she is super friendly).

Story
Everyone meet Piper! She is a medium sized puppy who is full of love and sass - she could chase a ball endlessly while also being your best cuddle buddy! She is very smart and learning her puppy manners well, she lives to please! She has adjusted exceptionally well to a cushy home life and is getting along well with her doggie playmates. Piper does have some awkward wobbles with walking because she was born with underdeveloped knee caps, but that doesn't stop her from running and playing like any other pup! Her knee caps may grow in better as she gets older and our vets are monitoring closely. If you have any questions about Piper or her needs please reach out -- she is a perfectly imperfect girl! ##1852742##

Story
Meet Macie, the 7-year-old beagle who's basically a retired adventurer-still up for car rides and outdoor fun, but also a fan of the finer things in life, like a good nap in a sunbeam. She's house and crate trained, which means she's more responsible than most humans. Whether you're heading out for a walk (she's a pro on the leash) or just kicking back in the backyard, Macie's your girl. She's happy to share her space with a fur sibling, but don't worry-she's totally cool with being the star of the show too. All she asks for is a consistent feeding schedule and a comfy bed. Let's be honest, who doesn't? Adopt Macie, your future sidekick in both adventure and relaxation!

After treatment she began to be a very sweet and happy girl. She’s very clingy, she loves treats, she loves running. She’s house trained, loves kids, and other pets. She’s mostly a house dog but she loves being outside. I want better for her, she deserves it.

Story
Tula is a 25lb mix, about 7yrs. Ive had her since she was about 1yr and LOVE her. But I moved (for health reasons) and she keeps getting out of the yard and I cant afford a new fence. For her safety Im looking for a new home. She loves people, is dog selective but loves to play with doggie friends. My other two wont play with her and she is bored. Tula needs a securely fenced yard, and someone to love her. She has lived with a cat before and did well. Its been several yrs since my cat died so I dont know how she would do now. Likely fine with a calm cat. VERY smart and loves training. Positive reinforcement ONLY. NO SHOCK, PRONG OR CHOKE COLLARS, NO CESAR MILLAN FANS. Pros: cuddly, smart, friendly with people, low shed, good with dogs she knows. Needs just 1 walk/day Cons: Can be leash reactive towards other dogs but does well with support. Im a dog trainer and have worked with her. I can teach you how to handle it. No other cons. She is an absolute doll and you will love her!
