Story
Lacey is a sweet, female, beagle mix weighing in at 48 lbs.  She was surrendered by the owner when we found out she was heartworm positive.  She is 5 years old and up to date on shots/vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.  We have started her on medication to prepare her for her heartworm injections in about 30 days.  PINC pays for these treatments.  We are looking for an adopter that has experience with heartworm treatments. Lacey is sweet, laid back, loves to be with her person, and loves other dogs.  We follow the American Heartworm Society's heartworm treatment plan and heartworm treatments are administered at Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas.  We will require a fenced-in backyard for Lacey.  www.pincdogrescue.org/adopt is where you can submit an adoption application and see our adoption process. ##1101372##

Story
Jet is a unique blend of several amazing breeds. He is a great dog who desperately loves his people. His inner beagle comes out when he decides to vocally share his needs or is excited about something. His inner shepherd and cattle dog are shown by his velcro dog nature. Jet gets very attached to “his” person, which isn’t surprising given his past abandonment and maltreatment - now he wants to be sure his person is always close by. Because of this he will need an adoptive home where his people are home often. Jet doesn’t do well around shouting or firm redirection. He will totally shut down. He does respond well to positive reinforcement with his training approach. With the right love and guidance he really comes out of his shell. If there is another dog in the home there will have to be slow and confirmed intros to be sure they get along. Jet prefers to be dominant and can get jealous when his foster sister gets all the attention. However having another low energy dog around has taught him how great it is to be a family pet! Jet really loves his daily walks, and he goes on several a day, he will need a family who is active and likes adventure. He is food motivated but does have a sensitive stomach. We have successfully navigated his GI issues and he does well on his prescription food. This senior boy deserves a loving home and family to spend the next chapter of his life with where he can see just how wonderful life can be!

Story
Meet Reesa – Your New Best Friend! Look at that face, what a beauty! Reesa is a 3-year-old Beagle/Basset mix who weighs a perfect 22 pounds and stands at 19” tall – just the right size for snuggling up or joining in on adventures. With her sweet personality and adorable looks, Reesa is sure to win you over in no time! True to her Beagle nature, Reesa is an active girl who loves to explore, especially when food is involved. She’s a bit of a “food detective,” so be prepared for her to investigate anything that might have a snack hidden inside! With her strong prey drive, Reesa would do best in a home without cats, but she’s done wonderfully with all the dogs in her foster home, no matter their size – she absolutely thrives when she has a doggie companion to play with. Reesa isn’t just about fun and games, though – she’s also a cuddle queen. When it's time to relax, she’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch or even sleep by your side at night, making her the perfect snuggle buddy. Reesa is house-trained, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever home. While she’s not a fan of the crate, she’s proven to be a well-mannered and loving companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic girl who will bring joy, laughter, and a lot of cuddles into your life, Reesa might just be the perfect match for you! Could your home be the one Reesa is waiting for? She’s ready to meet you and start her next adventure – maybe with a doggie sibling by her side! If you are interested in adopting Reesa, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **   November 8, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm
