Story
Everyone meet Piper! She is a medium sized puppy who is full of love and sass - she could chase a ball endlessly while also being your best cuddle buddy! She is very smart and learning her puppy manners well, she lives to please! She has adjusted exceptionally well to a cushy home life and is getting along well with her doggie playmates. Piper does have some awkward wobbles with walking because she was born with underdeveloped knee caps, but that doesn't stop her from running and playing like any other pup! Her knee caps may grow in better as she gets older and our vets are monitoring closely. If you have any questions about Piper or her needs please reach out -- she is a perfectly imperfect girl! ##1852742##

Story
Porthos is a 6-7 year old Beagle who is sweet but very scared - he has obviously been mistreated by humans, so we are going slowly with him to gain his trust. He will need compassionate and loving humans to help him get over his fear. HOWEVER - he loves, loves dogs. They are validating for him and he will need a home with dogs to loosen him up. He doesn't seem interested in cats, but does love dog friends! Porthos is hw-, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. **Extra bonus points if you get his name reference!** To adopt Porthos, please go to apply.neshamarescue.org

Story
Devlishly handsome, fun and silly Daniel is in the house and is ready to bring the beagle to your life. Daniel is an adult beagle who weighs about 25 lbs full grown. Daniel may be a little shy and coy at first, but underneath that he is a silly beagle at heart. Daniel loves being outside and he is a friend to every single dog. He's just the kinda guy that fits in seamlessly. Daniel would likely prefer a home where he can go and sniff lots and toys and silliness. He is great in his crate and doesn't sing the howl of his people that we have heard yet. Daniel is the dude to be around this year! Come see for yourself.

Story
Russ Tee needs a hair band folks....he's not sure how it works but we are sure those ears are long and luscious and about hit the ground on this cutie patootie! Russ Tee is a beagle mix who has GREAT ears and his name speaks to his coat. At about 25 lbs, this guy is full grown and full cute. Russ Tee is getting the lay of the land at the farm and is settling in quite nicely. He is a beagle guy for sure with a beagle nose and a beagle heart...which essentially means pure gold. He may be a bit unsure in new situations but is always gracious and loving and is ready to learn about all this family and home thing as he's heard great things on the beagle network (which involves vocal honking instead of Facebook-ing). Russ Tee is a sweet and gentle soul looking to live his best life with you!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Guinness, or “Ginny” as he is known to his close friends, is looking for his forever family. If you are looking for a dog who is pretty close to perfect , Ginny is your man. He’s 15lbs, house trained, listens well, minimal shedding, and loves other dogs and people. He has been great with older children in his foster home (he has not been exposed to cats or children younger than 5). His only area to improve upon is that he’s not a big fan of being in his crate at night. This snugglebug would much prefer to be under the covers with his people, where he'll sleep quietly through with night with no difficulty. He is a medium energy dog who loves to go for walks and play, followed by lots of snuggles and napping. He is very food motivated and learns new skills easily, especially if enticed with a tasty treat. Ginny is the sweetest boy and will be a wonderful addition to any family!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please be sure to read Mae's bio before applying for her.Mae's life began in an unsupportive and neglectful home.  She was confiscated from her original home and brought into a county shelter.  One animal on the property had been tethered and found starved to death, and Mae was one of several other dogs that were impounded.  She was so emaciated that she wasn't far from death herself.  Mae has learned many new things in a loving and supportive foster home, and her foster family has learned a lot about her- and where she would be most comfortable.    Mae would do best in a home with another dog, she loves to wrestle and play.  Another dog her size or larger would do best, since she can be an exuberant play companion.  She completely ignores cats, so having kitties in the home would be ok too.  She definitely requires a secured fenced in yard (no underground fences please) and a home that has the capability to utilize gates to keep her safe until she has had the chance to become acclimated to her new environment.  She can be a bit nervous with new people, but she warms up fast.  She would do best in a home where all children are 12 and over, since she has had limited exposure to children.  Mae still carries memories of her past, and the one detail she is sure of is that her previous tormentor was a bald man- she is terrified of bald men,  men with hair do not seem to be an issue.  She requires an experienced family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and blossom into an excellent companion.    Mae is leash trained, house trained (though rainy days can be challenging), crate trained, and she rides well in a car.  She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 10:18 am

Story
We are looking for help in finding a new home for a sweet ~8-10 year old Beagle/Bassett mix, Chelsea. She is my mother in laws dog, and sadly she is in the hospital and will not be returning home. She rescued Chelsea in March of 2021. Chelsea is a chill dog who loves humans and is looking for her next family that wants to snuggle up on the couch! She is house trained and has also been trained to stay in the yard without leash. Chelsea needs to go to a home where she would be the only dog as she currently is afraid of other dogs (even small ones). She would get along best in a quiet home as she sometimes gets startled by loud or unexpected noises. Please let me know what questions we can answer about this sweet girl!
