Story
Meet Rocky He is a 10y old neutered male beagle who is looking for a new home for the new year. Rocky finds himself at BTTR through no fault of his own. This good boys previous owner left him with a friend while looking for a new place to live and was unable to reclaim him after 3 months. The owner and friend turned to BTTR for help finding a new home for Rocky. Rocky's wish list includes a home with a fenced in yard, and the opportunity to go on walks and play with other dogs a few times a week. He loves running zoomies around the yard, chasing another dog through the leaves, sniffing trees on a walk, and sleeping on a cozy bed. He has done well in a home with other dogs, seems interested in cats but is respectful, and would be a good fit for kids and most older people.   He was neutered on Dec 16th, just had blood work run, is microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. He has a Senior Wellness exam scheduled for Dec 26th. BTTR offers a trial period to all of our adoptions to make sure it’s the right fit! As a Senior Rocky qualifies for a Special Reduced Senior Adoption Fee. Can you help Rocky out? Story
Gemma has been my best friend, my snuggle buddy, and a constant companion to me for the past 6.5 years. I adopted her at 1.5 years old from the Humane Society up in Vermont, where I was living in 2018. Gemma was born into a hoarding situation in the South, and then adopted by a family with a cat and a young child, so they chose to rehome her after a year and a half, and then I met her. Since then, she and I have gone on walks, snuggled up for movies and popcorn, and been best buds for close to 7 years. She knows basic commands, is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She communicates when she needs to go out. Gemma has been a joy to have in my life, and I love her deeply. Unfortunately, she is not a good fit for a home with an autistic child in it, and we are finding it hard to accommodate her. She will get excited to see you come home, but is a real couch potato, not too active, a real foodie who loves to chew on a bone. For the right person, she is super low maintenance.

Meet Ms.Pepper! Pepper is such a sweet and laid back girl. She is gentle and very low maintenance. She is a bit shy at first but nothing that a few yummy treats won’t cure 🥰 She enjoys other pets but can also be just fine being your one and only. Pepper is up to date on her shots and just had a dental, SO she is ready to find her very own family! *All of our dogs are in individual foster homes so appointments are required to meet them. * You can find our adoption application at k9newlife.org

Story
This is Ranger or Danger, or any combination of the two. Hes a handsome and cuddly guy (sus. Beagle/Rottweiler mix?) that just needs a loving home. He's incredibly chill most of the time, kind of a couch potato when he's indoors. He loves to sit or lay on people and beg for pets. He's got a great attitude outdoors - on his daily walks he hears all the other dogs barking but is unbothered. He's great on a leash/harness, but will pull to follow his nose in new areas. He's done well on a moderate hike, and around other dogs at an outdoor seating area. He's quiet most of the time, but will bark at unknown people entering the home. He's only shown aggression twice, but both times were unfortunately aimed at our 7 year old daughter. As such, he probably shouldn't be in a home with small children, but I suspect he would be fine with almost anything else after introductions. He just turned 3 years old; all of his doggy essentials would go with him; also he currently lives with a cat, nbd
