Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. The adoption fee may be higher or lower than stated however, and is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run discount specials and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee. Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an "Adopt one, bring another one home for free" adoption special!

Story
Olive is very gentle and loves attention. She likes to spend as much time as possible receiving belly rubs and scratches. She rarely barks which in my experience is not typical of most beagles. We adopted her about 7 years ago from a local breeder when she was only few months old. She is excellent around kids and other pets and is always interested in meeting new people. She needs to have access to the outdoors in the form of a backyard or large area of land. She is also use to multiple walks throughout the week. She loves sleeping on a bed or couch but will sleep in a crate at night given it is decorated with a dog bed and blanket. She is use to dry dog food and typically will just graze throughout the day after we fill her bowl up in the morning. Ideally looking for a loving family to adbot her or someone that has experience with dogs. Would need to have a meet and greet prior to adoption determination.

Story
Meet our big man Beethoven, a beagle mix with the most gentle and laid back demeanor you could ever find! This kid doesn't want to do much but take naps on a nice bed, receive lots of pets and get as many treats he can get his paws on! Beethoven is a gentle dainty dog when it comes to interacting with everyone and everything he meets. He ignores dogs for the most part and sometimes ignores people just to be able to sniff around longer. Since this kid is so calm we believe he could do well in any home that could provide lots of nap time and some good treats.

Story
Meet Prudence, Prudy or Prue! Prudy is a talker!  This sweet girl will tell you she is so happy to see you with the cutest “Rooo roooo”!! She is very friendly with people and loves other dogs!  She enjoys playing with toys along with her doggy pals, Prue also does well with cats and kids of all ages. Prudy is crate-trained and if you leave the door to her crate open, she will go in by herself to her “safe place” for a snooze. Prudy does great on the leash, loves food and to chew on bones! Prudy loves to curl up by you in a soft dog bed. She likes her coat on cold days. It’s important that she be kept on a leash or in a secure fenced yard. In “true beagle” fashion, she is a typical escape artist as well as scent hound! If you are a beagle lover, Prue will steal your heart and make the most loyal companion! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2281616##
