Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     11wks old Riley from Puerto Rico. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Story
💛 Sweet Ginny is looking for a new beginning 💛 Ginny's story isn't one of neglect or abandonment—it's one of deep love. Her person is facing serious health challenges and made the heartbreaking decision to return Ginny to our care so she could continue to live a full and happy life. And if there's one thing Ginny knows how to do, it's *live happily.* At 7 years young, Ginny has perfected the art of balance: long strolls through the woods, blissful naps in the sunshine, and enthusiastic mealtimes that prove food really *is* her love language. She's an easygoing girl who gets along beautifully with other dogs, is wonderful with cats, and has been perfectly polite with the kids she's met. She even enjoys car rides—nose to the wind, ears flapping, heart open to wherever the road may lead. Ginny is the kind of dog who will quietly slip into your life and make it better just by being there. She's loyal, gentle, and ready to love again. Can you give her the home she deserves? Let’s honor the love her person had for her by helping Ginny find a new family to call her own. 💛

Story
Ida Mae is a stunning Beagle mix female found in the woods in Louisiana.  No owner was found and she was scheduled for euthanasia when our rescue stepped in to save her.  The Vet Office estimated her to be 2 y/o at 24 lbs. and she received all her vaccines. Ida Mae went to a foster in LA.  She is very friendly and dog social. Unfortunately Ida Mae tested Heart Worm positive and will need treatment before coming to NY.  If you would like to add this beautiful girl to your family please fill out an adoption application.  Her $450 adoption fees cover medical care, spay, foster care, heart worm treatment and transportation.       ##2281647##

Story
Griff's mom is a beagle and father a Shar Pei. He has 7 siblings in the rescue. He is adorable and looks like a miniature labrador. While a bit shy with unknown people,  loves other dogs and will follow their lead. He is working on being more social and meeting other people, responding to the word "touch". Griff is also consistent with "come, sit, down, spin and leave it". He has learned to bring back a ball and especially loves a soft frisbee. Unfortunately, he needs a smaller one that he doesn't step on when he tries to retrieve it. We are waiting for one to arrive. Griff is still a very typical a typical puppy, in that he loves racing around and playing with toys, but then needs to take a long nap. When he stops listening, we know it is nap time. He loves his crate and uses it for meal time and naps. He does sleep for about 9 to 10 hours at night. He is house trained and  indicates his need to potty outside, by standing  at the door and whining. Griff walks well on a leash, with few reminders and lots of treats for loose leash walking. Griffy is never far from his people and will make a great sidekick. He loves to cuddle with  and give kisses. The best part is that he will do anything for a "COOKIE". Griff is all UTD on vaccines and was recently neutered. He is great with other dogs and could also be an only dog. Griff is very gentle with people, especially children.  His adoption fee is $500, which covers all of his vetting and microchip. ##2298186##
