This charming retiree is sure to melt any Beagle lover’s heart. His owner died so he is in search of someone new to love him. Jimmy Bean wants nothing more than food, love, and a lap to lay his head on…and then more food! He’s super social with dogs and engages in play. Jimmy is a 20 pound bundle of love. He’s crate trained, house trained, not destructive and walks well on a leash.

Story
It's Tilly's turn to find her special forever home! Tilly is one of our very special rescues and with OFR she is looking for a very special adopter. 💖 Tilly is 7 years old and around 20 lbs. She is somewhat crate and potty trained. Tilly is the sweetest pup and dog, cat and kids over 14 friendly. 🥰 She would prefer to be the only pet or an older dog sibling, so she can stay calm and not worry about them jumping on her. Now, Tilly's special adopter will need to know the following information - This sweet pup requires a home with no stairs for Tilly to have use to go in and out. She has a previous back injury that resulted in several discs being fused together. She walks with a little hop to her back legs. She will always require good quality joint supplements. She is currently taking Rejensa, half a chew tablet and Gabapentin daily. When she has flare ups, they will start with decreased mobility and stiffness while walking and decreasing to dragging her back legs. 🙏 She is currently receiving laser treatments, but there is no guarantee she will always benefit from them. She will require a dog bed on the floor and not be allowed to jump on or off furniture. Tilly is the sweetest and will always be on meds. Her adopter will need to be able to physically lift her 20 lbs. Please apply to meet the BEST girl. 🥰🩷

Story
Meet Danny, a sweet 14-year-old beagle weighing about 32 pounds. Danny was adopted from Lollypop 13 years ago and lived an amazing life with his hooman who unexpectedly passed away last month 🥺 Her wonderful neighbor has been fostering him since then and he is now searching for a place to call home 🏡 💕 Danny loves playing with his ball 🎾 and has the cutest habit of snoring both while awake and asleep. 😴 He’ll pressure you for belly rubs and will look at you when he needs something. 👀 He’s a cuddle bug who would love a home with another dog, though it’s not a requirement. A fenced yard would be ideal since he can be an escape artist. 🤭🏡🔒 Danny is potty trained but may have occasional accidents due to his age. He’d do best in a home where someone is home most of the day or can come home in the afternoon to let him out. 🚽 He knows his name, comes when called, and knows "sit," though he’s not always consistent. He doesn’t need a crate and prefers to sleep on the couch when his foster is away. 🛋️🐾 Danny loves meeting new people and is very dog-friendly. His compatibility with cats is unknown. He’s treat-motivated and loves his toys. 😁 This happy, lovable old man takes Enalapril for PLN twice a day. 🦴❤️ Danny is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years💛. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion, Danny could be the perfect addition to your family! 🏠✨

Story
Sugar is a spayed female Beagle. She is almost 5 years old. Sugar is housebroken and crate trained. She is best with older kids, good with dogs, but unkown with cats. Sugar comes with her toys, bed, bowls and crate - everything she needs! She is currently in a foster home. Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here. The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $300 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If you are interested in any of the Rescue dogs, please email us. Do not call the Shelter regarding rescue animals - they have no information about these dogs. All rescue animals are in foster homes with volunteers - NOT at the Shelter - unless otherwise noted.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $60 fee for any animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.February 2, 2025, 2:58 pm
