Story
A friend gave me Cleo when she was a few months old. I had her spayed and shes up to date on shots but now I’m moving to another apartment that will only allow one dog and I have an older Yorkie that doesn’t get along with her. She is a playful energetic puppy around 11 months old. She just needs love and a new home.

Story
Meet Reeves: The Sweet Beagle Who's Ready to Sniff Out His Forever Home! Calling all beagle lovers! Reeves, our adorable 4-year-old Beagle, has left his past behind and is ready to embark on a new journey filled with love, belly rubs, and maybe a treat or two (or three…he’s a Beagle, after all). Rescued from an Amish puppy mill, Reeves has spent most of his life in a barn, but you’d never guess it from his charming personality. This little guy is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines, and a certified pro in snuggling. Seriously, if there were Olympic medals for cuddling, Reeves would bring home the gold every time. Here’s Why Reeves Is a Total Catch: 🐾 Dog's Best Friend: Reeves LOVES other dogs. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or a cozy nap buddy, he’s all in. 🐾 Kid Approved: Reeves is a big fan of kiddos and will happily join them in their adventures (or share their snacks). 🐾 Toy Enthusiast: Squeaky toys? Plushies? Tennis balls? Yes, please! Reeves has never met a toy he didn’t like. 🐾 Crate Trained: He’s perfectly content to chill in his crate when needed, making him an easy addition to your home. A Few Things to Note: The Typical Beagle Nose: Reeves has a strong sense of curiosity and loves to explore the world through his nose. Outdoor supervision is a must—he’s not above following an interesting scent wherever it leads! House Training: He’s making progress but could use a little more guidance and patience as he adjusts to indoor life. Cats: Reeves doesn’t currently live with cats, so we’re not sure how he’d feel about feline friends. Reeves is ready to trade his days in the barn for a spot on your couch (preferably right next to you). If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart of gold and just a hint of Beagle mischief, Reeves is your guy! Fill out an application to meet Reeves and let this sweet snuggler steal your heart. 🐶❤️

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Lila!! I am a 5-month-old mixed breed puppy. What breed mix am I, you ask, well we think there might be some beagle, maybe some terrier and maybe even some danish farm dog but who knows for sure. What we do know is that I am adorable with all my amazing markings and colors and my foster mom also thinks I am the sweetest girl ever! I am going to be a medium sized pup when I am all grown up and some say that is the perfect size! I am a loyal girl, all the other puppies enjoy playing together in the puppy room, but me, I would rather go searching for where my foster mom went because I love to be her little shadow, wherever she goes I find her. My favorite place in the world is on my foster mom’s lap, you see she says I am her little cuddle bug and I take that job very seriously. When I am not on my cuddling job, I do like to play with my foster siblings and we all get along great! We all like to go outside and explore and guess what, I don’t even mind that white stuff, it is actually kind of fun until I get cold and then the fun is over!! I am crate trained and I sleep in it all night without a peep and I am working on potty training and should have that down in no time because whenever I am good I get one of those amazing things they call treats. So, do you want me to come to your house so you can be my forever family and I can be your forever cuddle bug, I think I would like that, how about you? You can apply for me today at BuffaloCares.org! Love, Lila! Adoption Fee: $475.00       RR48      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. Story
Brian is a 2-1/2 year old male Beagle. Brian is good with children, cats and other dogs. He will be neutered prior to adoption. He is currently in a foster home. Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here. The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $300 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If you are interested in any of the Rescue dogs, please email us. Do not call the Shelter regarding rescue animals - they have no information about these dogs. All rescue animals are in foster homes with volunteers - NOT at the Shelter - unless otherwise noted.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $60 fee for any animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.January 19, 2025, 1:47 pm
