Marlin is a lowrider Beagle/Corgi/Dachshund/????? mix boy who was rescued from a Texas shelter. He is approximately 8 years old and weighs about 25 pounds - he's a laid back cooooool guy. Marlin is petrified of the cats in his foster home - he will not go down the hallway if they are in it. He is sooo funny and will even give them the side eye when they are trying to love on him on the bed. He is house trained and crate trained. He does great on a leash and loves walks. He is a total snuggle bug. He is great with other dogs of all sizes. Marlin was previously treated for heartworm and is sight impaired in one eye but none of this has left any negative affects on Mr. Marlin. He is the perfect dog for someone looking for a mellow dude who is up for anything! It's Jingle all the way! This boy has been dubbed the Mayor of OSCAR since he loves to visit everyone. He loves the other dogs and being out in the play yard and visiting with everyone. We do not know what he thinks of cats. He does know basic commands,walks well on a leash and rolls over for belly rubs. Jingle was an owner surrender after 6 years for becoming "aggressive" with the husband & wife. At the shelter, Jingle has been very sweet, friendly, silly, affectionate, playful - with no issues at all with any of the staff or volunteers - male or female - so we have not figured out why the family surrendered him. And, although he has lived with children for 6 years, he would do best in a quiet yet active (walks, playful, etc) home without kids running around or lots of people coming in and out for parties, etc. Jingle is about 8-9 years old and 45 pounds. Meet Penelope. This playful, loving 8-9 month old beagle mix and is ready to find her forever home. Penelope is around 24 pounds and will be a medium sized dog when full grown. perhaps she has whippet mixed in with her with her long legs and lean body. She’s house trained, crate trained (although she only likes going in when no one will be home, and sleeps soundly in bed all night without any fuss. While she’s a rough player and very vocal, she’s great fun and would thrive in a home with younger dogs who can match her energy. She’s a bit of a jumpy girl, and sometimes forgets to watch where she’s leaping, which can be a bit much for older dogs. But don’t worry, she’s learning and improving every day! She’s also eating dry food twice a day and finishing every meals. This girl is content chewing on bones and has shown no possessiveness over them, although she will try to “borrow” bones from the other dogs (but she’s getting better at sharing!). She’s doing well on a leash, but needs a fenced-in yard where she can run and burn off all that puppy energy.
