This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 5-6 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience and a bit of time we are confident they can adjust into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. Maxine was the oldest girl that came from the house, we think she is around 6-7, she was a little shy, but seems to be taking things in her stride and has settles into her foster home without skipping a beat, we think she’s happy to be out of there. She will look at you with big, open, soulful eyes — the kind that seem to ask for love while offering all of hers in return. Iris is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at bottom. His loving family—mom, dad, and a busy, affectionate two-year-old toddler—lost their home due to financial hardship. As they move in with relatives, Raymond isn’t allowed to go. Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy will be homeless starting Thanksgiving. Critter Cavalry stepped in to give him safety and a promise: we will find this special dog the family he deserves. And make no mistake—Raymond is pure family dog magic. He adored his toddler, patiently soaking up loud giggles, sticky hands, surprise hugs, and busy playtime. His gentle nature and steady temperament make him a uniquely trustworthy companion for children and adults alike. Raymond is also wonderfully trained. He knows how to sit, shake, come when called, and crate up when asked. He loves playing fetch—bringing the ball back every time with a proud little smile—as if his greatest joy is simply making his people happy. He walks beautifully on leash, is fully housebroken, and has the most polite manners. Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested) till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her, she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores kids but older ones are best.
