Story
We got Cooper at KCPP about 2yrs ago during my last pregnancy. My husband had to put down his pup and Cooper was the spitting image of the last pup. Unfortunately after our daughter was born, he got a bit aggressive towards our kids. The kids will run by him and he growls. There are moments that he has snapped at my oldest Who is 3 (he is a really hyper kiddo). I’ve intervened before any more aggression happened. We have tried training, kenneling and even separating him from the family. During these situations, he gets extremely whiny and barks quite a bit. He has also had urination issues because of the separation so he may have a bit of separation anxiety. I’m looking for a home that can easily accommodate his needs. Unfortunately my mental health hasn’t been the greatest and I feel as if he could use a better home than what I’m able to give.

Story
Meet Trixie. This sweet dog came from a hoarding situation and has blossomed at her foster home. She's learned a new vocabulary that includes sit, down, go to bed and ride. She's a pretty white dog with a fawn-colored heart-shaped marking on her side. She is a short- haired shelter mix, some have said part Beagle, others think more terrier because of her sparkling personality. She is shy around strangers, so it may take a little time for her to warm up to potential adopters on first meeting. Trixie is smart, sensitive and eager to please. She learned the dog door in minutes and now blazes in and out. She initiates play with her foster dog brother. She likes the foster cat and has been seen giving him "kisses." She knows the jingle of car keys may include a pup cup treat. Trixie rides quietly in the car, sometimes putting her nose out the window. She is a good watch dog, giving strangers a warning bark if they get too close to her car. She twirls with joy when her foster mom comes home. She sleeps in a dog bed and has run of the house with the other pets. At just below knee-high and 29 lbs., she's the perfect size for a family pet, not too big and not too small. She is spayed and has age appropriate shots. Trixie could make a family's Holiday Season joyous.
