Approx. DOB:  5/14/22               Approx. Weight: 22Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Toddie is a 2 1/2 year old owner surrendered beagle. She is extremely affectionate! She loves sitting on your lap or next to you on the couch. She is not shy about asking for attention!   She loves chew toys and going outside with her foster siblings. She sleeps in a crate and can be found at times laying in the crate. She is smart and knows a few basic commands such as sit and stay.  She has the beagle bay and will use it when finding the scent of a squirrel or other animal when outside. Being a beagle, she is a scent hound and will require a fenced yard. She would do well either as an only dog or in a home with other dogs. We do not know how she will do with cats. Toddie is still learning how to ask to go outside to potty. She has been in our home about a week and has had a few accidents but overall does well. Toddie would do best with school age children or older due to her exuberance.   I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above,) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. Meet Trixie, a sweet dog that came from a hoarding situation. She's starting to come out of her shell and warm up. She's becoming a loving dog, happiest when she's next to her foster mom. Since arriving she's made friends with the resident cat and her foster brother. Because she only has a nub of a tail, when she's happy she prances and jumps and she'll throw in an occasional play bow. She's very pretty with a short white coat and caramel-colored ears and splotches, one heart-shaped. She's a perfect size at almost knee-high. She's very smart and learned her name quickly. She uses the dog door and with reminders, doesn't have accidents. She rides quietly in the car. She's spayed and up to date on age appropriate shots.
