Daisy Mae is about as sweet as she can be despite her recent life changes. She had a human for her 1st, 3+ years of life and was loved by him. He apparently got himself in some trouble and could no longer care for her. His relatives decided a rescue was best for her. We can say, his loss is your gain. You would be hard pressed to find a more perfect girl. She's roughly 3 1/2 years old, housebroken, crate-trained although she will not need to be crated, she happy just chilling with her people. She's a bit of a plus size girl at 65 lbs, but you don't even realize her size she is that gentle. She would be a wonderful companion for a retired or work from home person, as she loves attention and her person. Daisy Mae would love to have a little yard to sun in, but an walk or two a day would also please her. Daisy is fully vetted and ready to go. 3 year old mixed breed (shelter said hound/shepherd mix). Adopted @ 8 weeks from a shelter in Illinois. He can be such a sweet dog - so friendly, loves to cuddle, is playful, & loves every human he meets! He is happy being both active & lazy - loves walks, hikes, & playing outside, but can also be a huge couch potato. Reasons for rehoming: - Has never learned to live with our two cats (had before we got him). - intense separation anxiety and unhealthy attachment. Extremely attached to me & acts like my fiance (his other owner) is a threat at times. He will resource guard me. He has bitten my fiance before while very escalated and stressed. it hasn't happened in a while & wasn't bad, but important to note. We have worked with vets (meds), group trainers, & private trainers but it hasn't improved. Because of the unhealthy dynamic that has formed, we think he would be much happier in a different home with an experienced owner. He is really such a sweet dog and has so much love to give.
