Story
We got Boots from a local KC shelter and he is almost a year old. I think he needs a disciplined routine and owner who is able to take the time to give him what he needs. Boots is very energetic, and extremely affectionate. He gets along well with our other pet for the most part but does have some slight treat aggression, not with his food bowl though. He knows a few simple commands such as sit, lay down, and bed, but has issues with recall. Overall he is very sweet, and I am hoping we can find a home that can be patient and loving with him as well.

Story
Teddy is an adorably loveable senior Beagle boy looking for his forever retirement home. Teddy was surrendered to rescue sadly due to his mama's medical issues and she could no longer care for him. He's a friendly, snuggly boy, who gets along well with other dogs. I like to give hugs and kisses and sit on your lap. I especially love to cuddle and sleep in the bed with you. Sometimes literally in the bed, like burrowed under the covers! I love car rides and going into stores where dogs are allowed to meet new people! When I'm happy, my whole body wiggles. If you have treats, we'll be besties and I take them very nicely. Especially if it involves peanut butter....hint hint. I'm just a generally happy boy who even loves to play in the snow zooming around. Because of that, I would love a fenced yard to run in. Walks are awesome too! I am house trained and know how to let you know when I have to go out. I can't wait to have so much fun with you. Apply today to meet me! If you are interested in meeting Teddy, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Teddy's adoption fee is $100 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, deworm, and HW test.

Story
Loken is one of the most loving dogs I've ever had and is great with people. He loves to cuddle and always want to be with you, even when it isn't the place for it. He has lived with dogs and cats with no problem. He loves to cuddle and play with the 4 cats we have now. I have to move into an apartment and can't take him with us. For the time being my life is on hold until we can re-home him and I don't want to drop him at a kill shelter. He has very bad separation anxiety and will try to escape his kennel or room he is put in. He howls and whines when he's alone so he can't go to an apartment. He is fully house broken when he is with people but if he is left alone he freaks out and makes a mess. He can be a bit stand offensive to new people but warms up to them quickly. He is a really good dog and if I could afford a house to keep him in I would.

Story
All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs" on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster.
