Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
Rascal is a 2 year old beagle who loves everyone he meets! His owners were forced to surrender him due to a divorce and change in their housing situation. * A fenced yard is highly recommended due to a beagles natural instinct to follow their nose

Story
Meet Arlo! Hello and thank you for stopping by to learn a little more about me! I'm Arlo, a charming 2-year-old Beabull (that's a mix of Beagle and Bulldog). I weigh 56 pounds, and I'm up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered—so I’m all set to join my forever family! Now for the fun stuff: I’m a total cuddle bug with the softest fur you’ll ever feel, but I’m also always up for an outdoor adventure. Whether it’s hiking or relaxing by your side while you garden, I’m happy to be your companion. I’m naturally curious and love learning new things, especially during one-on-one time with my foster family. While I’m still adjusting to new environments and can get startled, I bounce back quickly! When something surprises me, I do a cute little prance and pounce, then go investigate until I’m comfortable with my surroundings. Toys are my jam, especially chew toys. I’ve even started playing fetch, and I’m proud to say I’m a pro at the “drop it” command! I lived with two other dogs in my foster home, and we had a blast walking and playing together. However, I’m not a fan of cats, so I’d do best in a cat-free home. I entered my training program early, on October 25th where I will be learning my manners and maybe some cute tricks. If you’re ready to be my forever human, fill out an application today! If approved you will receive my weekly reports until I am able to come home with you on Jan 10th! Submit your app today!  I'm neutered, UTD on all my shots, HW, and FT. I have a microchip in case I get lost and will require a STANDARD FENCE to keep me safe. RPSM recommends homes with children 6 years and older and NO CATS. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application today by going to www.rpsm.org. My adoption fee is $300. ##2175419##

Story
Hello, my name is Eddie. I am an 18-month-old beagle weighing 19 pounds.  I am good with kids, cats, and other dogs. I am very quiet, my foster mom has never heard me bark. I am gentle natured and I love lots of cuddles, I do get a little anxious when I'm alone. I  love to explore outside, sometimes my nose gets the best of me so I will need a fenced in yard to keep me safe. I will not be entering training so if you are approved to adopt from RPSM, you can come meet me in my foster home. Submit your app today! I’m neutered and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300. ##2189972##

Story
Hi there! I’m Peter and I am a handsome 1.5-year-old, 20-pound Beagle who is looking for a forever home.  I am energetic but can also be a huge cuddle bug. I love going for walks and exploring outdoors. I’m a Beagle so my nose gets the best of me sometimes so a fenced-in yard would be best for me. Cats should be just fine and kids would be great, though I may jump up to make sure I get attention (I really love people). I enter 10 weeks of training on Nov 1st to learn my manners. If approved to adopt me, you will receive my weekly reports until I’m ready to come home with my new family on Jan 10th. Submit your app and Please adopt me! today! I’m neutered and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground.
