Story
Sadie is very pretty girl, with the most soulful eyes brown eyes you have ever seen, and the sweetest freckles on her legs.  She's a happy and goofy girl, somewhat clumsy, aways wagging her tail and often has a smile. She is gentle and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She puts up with the tiny residence dogs when they pull her ears, jump up on her or nip her legs. She tries to play with them but they don't reciprocate. She would do well with another dog her size to play with. She loves to be outside and let her hound nose take over. She enjoys smelling the outdoor smells, perhaps sensing the bunnies or squirrels who visited the yard before her. A fenced in yard would be best should her sense of smell takes over. Sadie is crate trained, but would much prefer being with her person at night.  She loves to give the people she loves her sweet kisses, probably as much as she loves peanut butter and cheese. Sadie is very interested in the senior residence cats.See likes to chase them. I would not recommend a home with cats. She has not had any interaction with children, but with her gentle nature and medium size, I believe a family would be good for her. Unfortunately, Sadie came into rescue with heartworms. She is under treatment and is in the final stretch of her treatment (may need to be on crate rest until she tests negative). If you are a hound lover, please consider Sadie. You will have a loyal friend forever. Hi, I'm Lee! I'm a super friendly and loving boy that adores people so much it makes me get the zoomies!!! Even though I'm a happy boy now, I haven't always been this way... Now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am loving my new life! Despite everything that I've been through, I am such a joyous dog now. I do well with other friendly dogs, too! I am active and playful and my ideal forever home will be one with lots of fun adventures and play opportunities! I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion ever for my adopter. Story
Hi there! My name is Doug, I'm the sweetest and most gentle beagle boy. I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? Now that I've been rescued by beagle Freedom Project, I'm loving my new life and gaining confidence every day. Despite my rough beginning, I am a gentle and sweet soul. I love exploring, whether it's going for a long walk in the park or just sniffing about in a yard. While I get along well with other dogs and would LOVE a home with a friendly pup friend, I haven't had much exposure to children or cats yet. I would absolutely thrive in a patient home with those excited to have a furry family member! I hope someone notices me soon... could you be my adopter? I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, lots of love! My location: BROKEN ARROW, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Hi there! I'm Cookie, a super sweet and loving beagle boy! I'm such a happy pup; don't you just love my adorable and silly smile? I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? I'm so thankful to have been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, because now I'm starting to thrive! I can be a little nervous at first, but once i trust you, I'll be sure give you lots of affection and engage in some goofy playtime! I have a moderate energy level, so I'll make a great adventure buddy or perfect snuggle companion. I'll do best in a home where I can be your one and only animal as other dogs and cats seem to scare me. I hope an adopter notices me soon! Sometimes, I still have bad dreams about my time in the laboratory and wake up feeling so scared... could you give me my forever home so that I'll know no one will ever hurt me again? I would prefer a home that has: no other animals, adults-only, lots of love! Story
Hi there, I'm Ace, an adorable and sweet senior beagle boy! I love people, other dogs, and cats! I spent nearly all of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? It's hard for most people to imagine that dogs and cats are used in cruel laboratory experiments every day, but it's the sad truth. Luckily, Beagle Freedom Project rescued me and is fighting to save other animals in laboratories, too! Since I've been rescued, my friendly personality has blossomed. I'm loving and silly! Have you ever seen a dog sit in a chair like a human? Well, that's my favorite spot! I love lounging in the sunshine outdoors or curling up next to my people to cuddle on the couch. I also loves romping and playing; but I still have a puppy-like flair, despite my age, and can sometimes mistake TV remotes for toys! But hey, nobody's perfect! I'm so hopeful that an adopter will notice me soon. It's common for older dogs to be overlooked, but I promise to be the life of the party in my forever home. Could you be my forever family? I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, adults-only, lots of love! My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal.
