Story
Meet Marshall! He is a sweet young pup on the search for his forever family. He is looking for a family that is committed to providing love and guidance so he can grow up to be the best companion. Marshall loves playing with toys, eating treats and getting all the love from his foster family. He is expected to be a medium size dog, so please take that into consideration when adopting.  If you are ready for a lifelong commitment, please fill out an application and his foster family will be in touch.  *Breeds are guesses so your guess is as good as ours.  We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. February 24, 2025, 10:38 am

DOB 11/03/24 High Energy Adult-Only Home Preferred Not Best for Apartments Working on Housetraining Requires a Fence Dog Friendly Playful Snuggly Hi! My name is Ross, I’m a beagle mix puppy. My momma is a beautiful 17 lbs petite beagle, and according to my littermate’s DNA test result, I am 50% beagle, 30% Collie, 9% Boston Terrier with some other mixed breed. At 13 weeks old I weigh 15 lbs. I have big floppy beagle ears and a curious nose. My soft short coat with unique color and markings can be from Collie, Boston Terrier, and other mixed breeds. Still, I am a typical fun-loving high-energy beagle boy with a super cuddly sweet teddy bear personality. I grew up with my Momma and 5 siblings at my foster family’s home and also I spend lots of time with my foster brother Beagle and 2 Irish Setters. I’m very social and get along with everyone in the family. My foster mom says I’m the family’s favorite and can make anyone happy. If you want a warm, soft, cuddly, and full-of-energy bundle of joy in your life, fill out an adoption application or contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor right away! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). ---------------------------- Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy

GEORGE Attributes Snuggly Needs Another Dog Not good in an apartment Housetrained Requires a fence Dog friendly High energy Bad in car My name is George and my foster parents say I'm a great dog!! My collar says it too, it says “bestest boy”! I'm a young beagle 2-3 years old. I LOVE playing with other dogs, and I LOVE cuddling with the humans here!! I will trust fall into your lap. I listen pretty well for a beagle and will do anything for a treat. I get lots of treats to go outside so house training has gone really well. I'm also kind of crate trained, I sleep in my crate at night and I stay there when my foster parents are at work for a few hours during the day, but I do bark a little bit. I will stop for a peanut butter-stuffed Kong. They joke they should have named me Tigger because I jump up and down and twist when I get excited for food!! I'm pretty smart and might be a good dog for agility or even a barn hunt, I would love doggy daycare. I am a very social dog with the other dogs. I get car sick (which is why I am not great in the car). If I take medication for car sickness, I am good. If you think I’m the boy you’ve been looking for, contact your Midwest BREW counselor right away and ask about George! Story
PRANCER Attributes: Dog friendly Housetrained Good on car rides Crate trained Medium energy Not best for apartments Snuggly Weight: 34.7 lbs My name is Prancer and my foster parents say that I am an easygoing, chill boy. I am a medium-energy pup. My foster mom says that after breakfast every morning, I have an energy burst and I get the zoomies. I recently started showing an interest in toys and I like to drag them out through the doggy door into the yard. I have also dragged out my dog bed and blankets outside too! I have mild separation anxiety and I will whine a little if my foster mom or dad leave the room I tend to look for ”new” things to play with (like a roll of toilet paper, recyclables in the recycle bin, or area rugs). So, I am crated if they have to leave the house for a while. I sleep in my crate at night with soft music playing. I go to my crate when I need a little privacy too. I am a Beagle and eating is a passion! I eat 2 times daily and I take treats very gently. I’ve also recently learned that the couch is a very comfy place to take a good nap. My foster mom has started to teach me to sit for a treat and I’m doing pretty good! She has also been showing me that snuggles are a good thing and I have been approaching her for snuggles. I get along well with the resident Beagles here and we look forward to our daily runs in a private dog park. I do like to trail scents so foster parents are working on recall which I am improving at. I also walk very nicely on a leash. The resident cat is grumpy and she scares me so I leave her alone but I do have thoughts of giving her a little chase. I really like meeting people and love the attention I get but I have always been a polite boy when I meet people too. I am a hound so I would like to have a fenced yard. I just need a family that will care for me with lots of love because I am a super nice, gentle boy who loves to go for walks and be petted! If you think I might be the right boy for you, contact Midwest BREW and ask for more information about Prancer! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
SHILOH Attributes Dog friendly Needs another dog Housetrained Crate trained Good in cars Potties on leash Shy Needs a fence High energy This darling little girl is Shiloh. When Shiloh was found, she was giving birth to six puppies alone. We can only imagine what other hardships Shiloh had to endure before she came into our care and was placed with one of our loving foster families. Despite her difficult start to motherhood, Shiloh was a great momma and took excellent care of her puppies – now it’s Shiloh’s turn for a happy ending! At 17 pounds, Shiloh is on the smaller side for a beagle, but she has an exuberant personality and tons of energy (we estimate that she’s about three years old). She loves to run around in her foster family’s fenced-in yard with the resident dogs and has been known to tire them out! Shiloh loves to play fetch, and if she can’t find someone to throw the ball for her, this resourceful gal just tosses the ball herself! Shiloh has excellent house manners – it seems pretty clear that she’s lived in a home in the past. She is housebroken, crate-trained and rides well in the car. She walks very nicely on a leash and knows some basic commands. She enjoys snuggling with her foster mom on the couch and curling up in bed with her at night. However, Shiloh is a very shy dog who is cautious around people and is startled by loud noises. She adores her foster mom, but she can be reticent around other people. Shiloh will need a family that has experience with shy dogs and understands the time and patience required to allow her to become comfortable with new people and new surroundings. The company of other dogs is a must for Shiloh – she will need a home with other dogs who can show her the ropes and help her feel comfortable in her new home. She hasn’t been around cats or young children, and her foster mom feels that a quiet, adult-only home would be the ideal situation for Shiloh. A fenced-in yard is almost a must for Shiloh so she has ample room to run and play fetch. Shiloh has so much love to give, and her sweet, affectionate nature will make her a wonderful addition to a family willing to give her the time and understanding she needs to adjust to her new home and family. Story
LOUISE Attributes: Good with kids over 4 Low energy Dog friendly Good in the car House-trained Needs a fence Not best for apartments. Hello, I'm Louise! I am a petite girl, around 20 lbs, and I’m 8-10 years old. Someone dumped me at a farm, and I ended up in a shelter for a little bit until Midwest BREW took me in as a foster. I like my foster home. They have a big couch and a lot of dog beds for me to lay on, and I really like snuggling with the other dogs at the house. I am almost always touching one of them! I love playing with all the squeaky toys in the house. Foster mom says I play very nicely – I don’t try to kill them and eat the stuffing. I just chew on them. I love to play fetch with the toys, and I really like tug of war too! I'm pretty healthy, but I did have to have some teeth pulled, so my foster mom usually wets my kibble a little bit to make it easier for me to eat. I am a mostly low-energy lady. Most of the time, I am content to nap, but I usually like to play in the afternoons or right after dinner. I love to play with toys, but I also like to run around the yard. Foster mom says I am a really fast runner! I am pretty well-behaved in the house. I’ve had a few accidents since I’ve been here, but I’m getting much better about going over to the door when I have to go out. Like all beagles, I am curious about everything and will occasionally try to chew on something that’s not food. I drop it right away when my foster mom said to, and she said that’s really good. I am really good with older kids, but haven't been around little ones. Foster mom isn't sure about how I will do with cats either. I am good in the car. I usually just curl up in the seat and go to sleep. Foster mom keeps me in a harness with a seatbelt tether so I’m safe, and that works great for me. I love to bark. I howl when my people come home, and I like to bark at the dogs next door. My Foster mom usually makes me come in because I get the other dogs in trouble. I don’t mean to; I am just really excited to meet other dogs! I might not be good in an apartment because of my barking though. I’m a sweet older lady who wants to find her furever home. If you want to know more about me, please talk to Midwest BREW! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
