We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Age: 10 years Weight: 30lbs Good with dogs? Would like to be the only dog Good with cats? No Good with kids? No Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $200.00 Any other info: Meet Bo. This sweet senior boy has found himself sitting in a scary shelter at the age of 10 and he's not loving it. He was adopted from us as a puppy 10 years ago but unfortunately was just recently returned. Bo is a sweet boy but he does not do well with strangers in his home so he's looking for a low traffic home with someone to love him for the rest of his days. His previous owners said Bo was a perfect dog 99% of the time but he gets very worked up into a frenzy when people come to the house and acts out. He can be very fearful of new people and other animals. Bo would love to be in a calmer home. Being afraid of strangers and other animals makes living his life in a shelter pretty difficult. He would love to be someone's baby and best friend. Bo is a very distinguished gentleman with sweet soulful eyes, a super adorable scruffy face and a happy smile. He is very sweet when you go slow with him and once he knows he is safe with you, he is a friendly, affectionate, cuddle bug of a boy. The shelter is no place for a senior so please help us help him! Share his story far and wide. We know there is the perfect home out there for Bo and we won't stop until we find them. He is house trained and potty trained and food is the way to his heart, although he's too nervous to eat much right now. Bo is 10 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and kept on prevention here with us. He will also be starting some medications for anxiety to help him get through this stressful time and he should probably stay on them for the rest of his life to help his transition. If you have the perfect low traffic home and are looking for a sweet senior boy in need of a family, don't wait, please apply through the link below. https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Bo. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our groups' Petfinder page. The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application, it can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Please email the application to adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net or drop it off in person during our business hours. Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed along with your application. Please allow us a few days to contact you about your application as we do get many in on a daily basis. We will contact you as soon as possible.

Story
Ruth goes by a few names Ru, RuRu, lil girl and boots because her paws are all white. She is sweet and playful, and extremely loving. She loves going outside in good weather and loves chasing squirrels, so the yard is always squirrel free. As mentioned she is extremely loving and likes cuddles and pets and watching tv with you(yes she actually watches). So much more to learn about her sweet personality but I only get so many characters to write. She does have sensitivity to lavender and grass, she does not require medication for them. Her belly will get red from grass but goes away shortly after laying on it and she gets itchy from lavender. I put unknown for some things as she hasn’t been around kids often but does well when she is around them(3 years and up), she runs/plays at the fence with the neighbor dog and does well with my daughters dog when she see’s him. She has never been around cats. I am taking a job that doesn’t allow me to bring her.

Story
Hello My name is sundance and I am roughly 6 months old. My story starts being dumped on a country road with several friends. Now I am in a loving foster home and life is good. I am a pure love bug. My foster mom says I am the sweetest boy. I love other dogs and kittens. I have been around all age kids and do really well. I walk on a leash and am crate trained. We are working on being housebroke and am doing really good. I will make a wonderful family pet! My adoption fee covers a health certificate and transport from Tennessee
