Story
Meet Claus! Hawk is about 2 years old, 22 lbs, and he likely has some Beagle or Hound in his mix! Claus was found as a stray. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate training, and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 5+ and other dogs. No cats or apartments, please! His foster says, `Claus is a sweet, gentle and intelligent guy. He loves to be outside whether it’s basking in the sun or playing fetch. He can be a little shy at first but he warms up quickly then becomes your best friend. He’s super smart and very observant. Claus loves other dogs and would make a great brother to another furry. Claus is a young guy and could quickly learn games and tricks. Please consider adopt Claus into your family!! He will thank you with a lifetime of snuggles!`He is available for adoption on January 10th in N Dartmouth. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Remy was adopted from second chance animal shelter. He is 2 1/2 years old, 46 lbs and in very good health. Remy loves to run free, and play keep away with his toys. He is well trained on plenty of tricks and commands. Remy has a hard time getting along with new dogs and doesnt do well with being laid on or grabbed so young children would not work for Remy. He is chatty like a beagle and energetic like a boxer. Remy loves to speak and sing with the fire trucks and is very loyal and wants to be loved. Hes a good boy with a lot of love to give. He needs wide open space to get his energy out and a warm cozy bed to nap in. An adult home or a home with teenage kids would work well for Remy. He just needs a family that can respect his boundaries of not being laid on or grabbed. It is with a heavy heart that we look for a new home for Remy and we hope to find a safe and loving home for him.

Story
Oscar came into our care after his owner died suddenly, leaving five Beagles needing homes. We were told he is three years old but we will verify that when he sees our vet. He was used as a hunting dog, but we think he would love to be a family pet. He had a bath when he arrived in Medfield and was so good about it. He came in with Felix, and the two get along great and love to run around together. He may have some Basset Hound in his mix since he is bigger than your average Beagle and has longer ears. He will be neutered and updated on his vet care after Christmas and will be ready for a new home. He is a little grabby when it comes to treats so would not be a good fit for a home with young kids. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months to 7 years is $450. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
