Hello world. My name is Kay Baby. I am part of the ditch babies. Our names are Sawyer, Bowe, Everett, Troy and me, Kay Baby I love belly rubs and being held. On May 5th through most of the day on the 6th there had been bad rain storms. Very frightening. Everett was the brave one and went out of the ditch to the road on the morning of May 6th. A nice lady was passing by and saw him. She stopped and caught him. But while doing so, she spotted another one of us. After numerous times trying to catch the baby, she left. The baby in the ditch worried her so Angelina contacted a neighbor who is a dog rescuer. The dog rescue lady got in touch with my foster parents and their rescue, Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c3. So on their way home, they drove past where Everett was found. Upon getting out of the vehicle and calling Puppy, Puppy, Puppy, 3 of us jumped out of the underbrush. Next 3 were Bowe, Sawyer, and Baby Kay. But the last fellow, Troy, was terrified. Instead of being brave and being saved, he ran and hid in a culvert with water flowing through. Daddy Glenn climbed in (even though he has claustrophobia) and saved Troy. Today we are fat, sassy and ready for our own families. We are all very sweet, smart and love to be held along with belly rubs. We would be perfect for families, hiking, camping, going to the lake or any activity with you. I am ready to come home. Please request an application to begin my journey. As a Rescue do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Roy is an adventurous little guy. We think he's about two years old. He is a beagle XL at around 35 pounds. He has not minded other dogs, cats or kids. His favorite thing to do is exploring with his nose to the ground. He has a short hair coat, he is good with kids and dogs, and he is housebroken now looking for forever home.

Nakota found himself dumped in a neighborhood with his siblings. A kind lady took care of them and tried to find them homes. When she exhausted all efforts she reached out to us for help. He is a sweet boy. He is vetted. Neutered, vaccines are up to date and he is microchipped. He just needs his family. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Adoption Donation   $ 499    Located in: RI (Transportation costs to the Northeast included, please ask for more details) Approximately 3.5  years old as of 7/4/24 Weight: 21 pounds Harriet lived on the streets of a small town in Mississippi until she was trapped last summer. It's clear that humans have failed her and been unkind.  She has made strides in foster care, but has a ways to go when it comes to trusting humans. She comes up for pets but is quick to jump back if you move too fast. Harriet needs a secure fenced yard as she is a flight risk.   Having said all this, Harriet is a good girl and gentle. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She’s also house trained, crate trained, utd on vetting, good with other dogs & cats. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent.
