Hi there! My name is Lainey! Aren't I just the most adorable girl? I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project after being hit by a car and dumped at a high-kill animal shelter. Luckily, I've recovered beautifully since the accident and I am absolutely thriving! I amy have a little bit of a wiggly walk sometimes because of my previous injuries, but that doesn't slow me down at all-- especially when it comes to keeping up with you! I adore people and always want to be by my person's side. I'm a total cuddle bug and always eager to snuggle! My favorite place on earth is your lap! I love neck and ear scratches, and if you rub my belly, I'll roll right over to enjoy every moment! I'm a sweet and social girl who will love accompanying you everywhere-- errands to run? I'm in! Camping trip? I'll be there! As long as I'm with you, I'm happy. I do well with other pups of all sizes but would prefer to be the only dog in the home so I can soak up all of your attention. I'm looking for an adopter that wants the best and most loyal companion-- could you give me my furever home? I would prefer a home that has: No other dogs (I do well with other pups, but would prefer to soak up all of my adopter's attention!), Adults-Only and/or older children 8+ (I get scared when small children cry or make sudden/loud noises!) My location: LOS ANGELES, CA *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Hi there! I'm Cookie, a super sweet and loving beagle boy! I'm such a happy pup; don't you just love my adorable and silly smile? I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? I'm so thankful to have been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, because now I'm starting to thrive! I can be a little nervous at first, but once i trust you, I'll be sure give you lots of affection and engage in some goofy playtime! I have a moderate energy level, so I'll make a great adventure buddy or perfect snuggle companion. I'll do best in a home where I can be your one and only animal as other dogs and cats seem to scare me. I hope an adopter notices me soon! Sometimes, I still have bad dreams about my time in the laboratory and wake up feeling so scared... could you give me my forever home so that I'll know no one will ever hurt me again? I would prefer a home that has: No other animals (I want to get all of your attention!), adults-only (or older children!), lots of love! Story
Hi, I’m Elton! I’m a sweet senior beagle looking for a family to call my own. I was adopted as a puppy, and I thought I had found my forever home. But after nearly 10 years, my family abandoned me at the same shelter where they first adopted me. I was so scared and confused, especially since I hadn’t done anything wrong, so I didn't understand why my family didn't love me anymore. I was afraid that I'd never make it out of the shelter, as so many senior dogs don't... but then, Beagle Freedom Project heard my story-- and they knew they had to help me! Now that I'm out of the shelter and in a loving foster home, I'm hoping to find a TRUE forever home. I’m such a loving and friendly boy-- I get along with everyone I meet, dogs and humans alike! I love going on walks, getting cuddles, and I still enjoy playing. I could spend hours playing fetch! Even though I’m a senior, I’m full of life. I do have a heart murmur and will require daily medications for this for the rest of my life, plus bi-yearly appointments with a cardiologist to make sure my heart is as strong as possible, but that doesn't slow me down at all! I also have a large, likely non-cancerous mass on my side that should be removed soon pending my cardiologists approval for surgery! I feel so happy to finally be getting the healthcare that I deserve, especially because that means I'll get to enjoy my life for even longer! I promise I'll be the best companion ever for the forever family of my dreams. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate dog to share your life with, I just might be the one! Could you be my forever family? My location: LOS ANGELES, CA *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal.
