Story
Luna is a calm, sweet and well behaved dog that would do wonderful with someone looking for a companion and does not have any other animals. I adopted Luna from a rescue 7 years ago, she is now estimated to be 9 years old. She came from Texas and was rescued from Hurricane Harvey. She is not getting along with the other two dogs in my house. She only shows aggression to other dogs, never to people. She also does not like adult men to begin with. She will bark at them, but has never snapped or bite anyone. She does eventually warm up to men but it can take some time. She really is a calm sweet girl. If I could I would keep her over the other two dogs in my home.

Story
Hi there, I'm Moe, possibly the brother of Larry and Curly of the Three Stooges. I am an active, playful, and lovable 3-year-old. My favorite thing to do is show how much I love you by sitting on you and giving lots of kisses! I also love running around my foster dad's backyard and playing with my doggy foster brother. Sometimes I get really excited and jump to give you hugs and kisses, but I'm working really hard on my manners and learning really quickly. I also sleep all night long in my kennel without making a peep and I know that outdoors is where I go to the bathroom. I would really love to be your best friend in my forever home! To meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
Meet Myrtle! Myrtle is a gorgeous, 21 pound, two year old Beagle. This precious little princess was rescued from a situation where her previous owner allowed her to roam outside, unsupervised, without a leash or fenced yard. She was found wandering along a busy highway, and after the third time she wandered away, her owner decided that if she didn`t want to come home, then he didn`t want her. Beagles are scent-driven and they love to follow their noses, so it is absolutely NO surprise that she wandered away when she was unsupervised in an unsecured yard! Myrtle just wanted to find the pot of gold at the end of the scented rainbow. Anyone who has ever met a beagle knows they are tender hearted, gentle, affectionate, non-reactive, silly, sweet, friendly, hungry, and that they LOVE to follow their noses! Myrtle loves everyone she meets, no matter their size, age, or species. She`s great with other dogs and takes cues from them well, giving them space as needed. She adores humans and wants to be close at all times, and would prefer someone be petting her constantly. She is a cuddle bug to her very core! All Myrtle really wants in life is a snuggle buddy who will give her lots of love. She`s happy to share her space with other dogs and/or as many people as are willing to give her attention, but she would also be perfectly content as an only dog. While she has not been cat-tested, odds are good that she would behave fine around kitties, too. Myrtle is housebroken with supervision (she has only had one accident in her foster home), crate trained, and has excellent house manners. She`s also learning to sit for treats and pets! The only thing Myrtle really needs is a securely fenced yard - outside of that requirement, we truly think she will be happy with anyone, anywhere.
