Story
We adopted Lacy from a shelter in July 2025 - they thought she was about a year and full grown, some sort of beagle mix. She was much smaller and a little shy, and shadowed our senior dog wherever she went. When she went to get spayed and shots, the vet said she was not a year and was going to get much larger (and oh boy, they were right). As Lacy has grown, she has become an out-going, loving, high-energy giant. She adores people and attention, loves chewies and toys, goes crazy for the dog park to play with other dogs. But she does not like to share with other dogs at home. Lacy gets very jealous of our senior dog, Luna, and will growl and bark at Luna whenever she tries to come close to "Lacy's" chewies or people. Lacy is looking for an indoor home where she will be the only dog, get lots of love, lots of chewies, and have a human to cuddle and sleep with.

Story
Honey is a 11 year old beagle. She is a very vocal dog who loves to be outside. Her favorite things to do is hunt for the pesky voles and bark at the wind for entering her yard. She has a 2 older brothers(cat and dog) that she loves to play with even when they don't want to play with her. We adopted her from the Allen County Animal Shelter when she was 4 years old. She does have a bite history and has become food aggressive to the point where she is bullying her older brother and stealing his food. She does nip at you if you try to move her away from her brother's food. That is the reason we are looking for a new home for her as we have a 4 year old and a 1 year old that has recently found interest in dog food and he fear that she may bite the one year old. She needs a new home with older kids that can show her the love and attention that she needs. Honey would prefer a fenced in back yard so she can run freely. She currently has a doggy door for 24/7 access outside.

Story
Petty is gentle. She needs a human friend who she can be with during the day. She likes to walk and does well on a leash. Not able to be alone in a fenced area. She will find a way to escape. Her owner walked her on a leash and it worked well for her. Petty is cage trained. Her owner can no longer care for her because she suffers from age related health problems that have required her to be cared for by others. Petty is a sweet girl who just needs somebody to love her in her senior years. She is around 11 years old. She is afraid of cats, but not agressive toward them. Her owner rescued her, but unfortunately, now she needs a rescue again. Please help petty find her forever home. She cannot jump up on the furniture, she does not jump on people. She likes everyone. Does very well on a leash and likes walks. Good natured, just wants love and affection. She likes treats and most kinds of food. Please consider being her forever friend. She is a good dog.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Story
Morgan is a 7-8 year old Beagle mix looking for a stable home after losing her previous owner. She weighs about 45 lbs and has the classic hound personality. Expressive eyes, the head tilt, and she'll let you know when it's dinner time. Morgan is friendly with adults and older/teen kids but prefers a quieter home. She does best as the only dog due to food guarding around other dogs, but she does well around livestock like chickens and is very much a country-raised dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained. Morgan walks well on a harness and would do best with a fenced yard or rural property and someone who can keep her on a consistent routine. If you think Morgan could be a good fit, please reach out with a little about the home you could offer her.

Story
Meet DK, a super fun boy bursting with energy and personality. He’s always ready for action, whether that means zooming around the yard or trotting happily by your side. Despite his energetic side, DK is convinced he’s a big lap dog—maybe a little too big for a lap, but we won’t break his heart by telling him that. DK loves giving cuddles just as much as he loves running circles around you. He walks really well on a leash and enjoys getting out for adventures, especially when there’s snow involved—snowy playtime is one of his favorite things! If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who can keep up with you and then snuggle close, DK is your guy 🐾❄️
