Little Mabel is a petite 1.5-year-old beagle mix, weighing about 20lbs. She is quite nervous in the noisy shelter and would greatly benefit from a calm home to decompress in. Mabel is very sweet though and will crawl into your lap for pets and love. She seems to enjoy the company of the other small dogs she's been around so far. Mabel is hoping to find someone who doesn't mind the howls and barks of a beagle as she is very vocal!Mabel has tested positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia. She has completed treatment for this. Emma is a gorgeous beagle mix puppy who came to us from local animal control in search of a forever home. She is just under a year old and weighs in 25lbs. Emma is a typical energetic and playful puppy who will need a family willing to train her and work on leash manners. She a sweet girl who enjoys being with people as well as running around with toys. She tested positive for coccidia, we have started the deworming process and will get her retested once treatment is completed! She's done well with the dogs she's met here so far. Meet Simone! One of those dogs that just tugs the heartstrings. Why Simone? She gave birth the day before she came into our shelter, due to her poor conditions, malnourishment, mange, none of her babies survived past a day. She was in a dark place just like Simone Biles was after the 2020 Olympics. Simone the human came back better than ever and won gold, and we believe Simone the dog will do the same! After 10 days in foster care she has gained weight, has some fur growth and has discovered playing with toys is fun! She has mastered crate training and going potty outside. She is looking for an adopter that will love and teach her as she continues to heal. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities!
