Say hello to Trina! This super sweet girl is looking for a wonderful home. She needs a family that will treat her like the princess she deserves to be. Trina came to us with obvious signs of neglect. Under the watchful eyes and TLC of her foster home, she has flourished and feels so much better. While she has come so far, she needs a loving family that will continue to monitor some of the medical issues she came to us with. Her foster mom has been managing a prescription diet for allergies and twice daily eye drops. Trina has been doing so well and deserves this care. Trina brings so much to the table that having a few medical things to manage for her is nothing compared to what you will get from her. She is completely house broken, loves car rides, is crate trained, loves to sleep in. She's also leash trained and loves squeaky toys. Trina is also a huge snuggle bug and is happiest curled up with you in bed or on the couch. Such a sweetheart given all that she's been through. Trina is approximately 8 years old and would do best in a home with no young children. She has not been tested with cats but does well with other dogs that match her energy. She also does not require a home with a fenced in yard. Please consider giving this sweet girl a wonderful home! Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Trina is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet her will be set up for approved adopters only. Her adoption fee is $200 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. Story
Toffee is a 20 lbs., playful, affectionate, and energetic young beagle mix looking for a forever home that better suits his needs. Toffee is super cuddly & sweet puppy (about 5 months old) who loves to play, snuggle on the couch, and eat. He is looking for a home with at least one other dog in a non-urban environment, ideally with a fenced in yard or quiet neighborhood. He is crate-trained to sleep through the night, fine with cats, partially house-trained (lasts about 4 hours), and is making progress with basic commands (sit, wait, leave it, bed). Like most puppies, he likes short bursts of play or walks and then good long naps. He's food-motivated, smart, and has a ton of love to give. Recently adopted into a busy city condo, Toffee has struggled with reactivity to dogs, children, and guests, which has made urban living overwhelming for him. Despite his family’s love and dedication, including training efforts and research, they’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him. Toffee thrives in calmer environments and would do best in a suburban or rural home where he can have space from his triggers. Toffee gets along well with other dogs, especially in doggy daycare, and would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion in his new home. He’s cuddly, playful, and has gained confidence with time, but he needs an experienced owner or someone willing to continue working on his training to help him overcome his challenges. Click here for Rowdy's Facebook Album 11-27: Rowdy is now in the Chicago area and he is a sweetheart!! He's great with other dogs, cat safe and will follow you around from room room. His bloodwork is 12-2, neuter on 12-6 and then he will be ready for his forever home. 10-1: Rowdy is a very the sweet 4 year old Beagle in Kentucky in need of a new home. He was originally used as a hunting dog, but without a fenced in yard, he and his buddies were let to roam and he attacked the neighbor's chickens. He's been confined to a kennel now and the last to be rehomed. As Rowdy has never lived indoors he'll need work on house training. My name is Little Louise (Lilly for short), and I am an affectionate an active beagle mix who would love to be your devoted best furry friend. Like many beagles, I am very attached to my people and will always greet you with excitement when you come home from work or errands. Try not to smile when my tail wags and ears flop while I ask for hugs and pets upon your return, I dare you! I would do best as your one and only pet in the house: I do well with other dogs at doggie daycare, but at home I am an attention hog and can get jealous of other pets when they have your focus. I would also prefer any children be on the older side (10+ years old) just because I am an excitable girlie and wouldn't want to accidentally hurt one of my tiny human siblings when I am being silly. I have a variety of interests including going for walkies to sniff and explore, cuddling with my family (my favorite spot is under the covers near your feetsies to help keep them warm at night!), and most especially running zoomies around the yard and chasing thrown balls or sticks. My ideal forever home will have a fenced yard so we can play fetch together every day - doesn't that sound like living the dream? You can also call me little miss smartypants, too: I am already potty trained and know commands including sit, down, and shake. In pretty typical beagle fashion, sometimes I am too smart for my own good and can find creative ways to try and escape. For example, I know how to open doors that have lever handles instead of knobs. Crazy smart, right!? So I will thrive with attentive humans who will keep an eye on me and keep me out of trouble.
