Story
Meet Cami – The Sweetest Girl Around! Hi, I’m Cami, a happy, wiggly 2-year-old mixed breed who weighs 43 pounds. I came all the way from Texas to find my forever family, and now that I’ve finished my heartworm treatment, I’m ready to bring joy and love to my new home! Why You’ll Love Me: Affectionate & Social: I love meeting new people and wagging my tail (and shaking my butt!) to show how happy I am. Food-Motivated: I love food and treats and take them gently, which makes me a quick learner for training. Quiet & Cuddly: I rarely bark and enjoy cuddling up with my people. Belly rubs are my favorite! Life with Cami: Great with Dogs: I live with two foster dog siblings, and we love to play, run, and explore in the yard. Proper introductions help me feel comfortable. No Cats: I’ve decided cats aren’t my thing. Leash & Car Pro: I walk beautifully on a leash and love car rides! House & Crate Trained: I’m fully potty trained and sleep quietly in my crate all night, as long as it’s near my people. Fun Facts: I’m curious and love exploring. I’m fearless and confident in new situations. I know “sit” and am working on “stay.” Cami would be the perfect companion for someone who works from home or enjoys having a loyal shadow by their side. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and playful girl to brighten your days, I might just be the one for you! 📩 Apply to meet me today – I can’t wait to wiggle my way into your heart! 🐶💖 Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.

Story
Hope - Female. 3 years old Beagle/Hound (BREED IS BEST GUESS ONLY) Current Weight 28 pounds Date of Birth 7/1/21 Meet Hope. This sweet beautiful girl was left abandoned at the gate of the shelter in Alabama. She sat there and waited for someone/anyone to rescue her. Thank goodness help arrived by the amazing people at the shelter and took her in. Upon arrival it was quick to notice she had “something” going on with her mouth and eye, and though no rescues can really afford expensive medical conditions we just knew we could not leave her there. A wonderful person stepped up and we got her to Illinois. She immediately went to our vet here where it was determined that yes this poor girl had been through some trauma (either human or vehicle there was no way of knowing) and her diagnosis was 2 horrifically cracked teeth in the back of her mouth along with eye damage. After a pressure test was done it was determined this poor girls eye had so much pressure it’s like living with a constant migraine and it was recommended that it be removed. Hope’s surgery went very well and she’s now fully healed. Though she may only have one eye (this does not take away from her cuteness or personality) she’s still the most loving animal and is now pain free ready to find her forever family. Here’s what her foster mom said about her…. Hello, my name is Hope. My foster told me I'm a good girl and very sweet. I also like to snuggle with her in bed. I have lots of toys that I chew on and take them outside to play too. I have dug a few holes in the yard, but my foster filled them in and I haven't dug them again. I have been with 3 little dogs and don't mind them at all, I try to play with them, but they are older and don't play much. I think I would do better with little bit older kids because when I get excited I sometimes jump. But I calm down fast. I might be shy at first but I warm up quickly. She is house broken and with a little more training would do well on a leash with walking. (She’s probably never had this). She likes car rides and usually just falls asleep in the seat. Also she doesn’t mind being crated but sometimes doesn’t go in on her own. She’s great with any human, kids and dogs. She loves to play. Fenced in yard would be a plus. If Hope sounds the perfect fit for you and your family, please visit the rescue website www.foreverhomedogrescueil.org for requirements, process and applications. WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS Thank you for considering the adoption of one of our rescue dogs. We are committed to finding our rescues the perfect home. Together we can make a difference in the life of a dog. The adoption process should be a fun and exciting time for families and dogs. Our goal is to place our babies in forever homes. The potential adopter needs to be dedicated to their care and training for life. Understand that sharing your life with a dog can be a commitment of 15+ years. This would include feeding, exercise, training, vetting, and providing a loving home. Ask yourself, "Am I ready for this type of commitment?" If you are ready, we are here to help. We do have some requirements to help us find the perfect placement of our babies. WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE ONLY. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL BUILDING 1. Apply online at https://www.foreverhomedogrescueil.org We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family (including other dogs) to approve an adoption. Only a final approval for adoption can take place after a successful meet and greet. This is done by appointments only. We will not proceed with the adoption if everyone has not met the dog. This will allow others the opportunity to adopt the dog. 2. Adopters MUST be 25 years old. Information on all adults/members living in the home is required We REQUIRE you to provide proof and vet reference that all current and past pets have been kept up to date on all routine medical. 3. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spayed/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, 4. If you do not own your home, you must provide landlord contact information on the application and a copy of your lease that outlines the rules for dog ownership in your residence. Large breed dogs will not be adopted into apartment settings or where there are breed/ size restrictions. Puppies have special needs and require a home where someone is available to care for, socialize, and give basic training. If you are gone for more than a couple hours at a time, please consider adopting a teen or older dog. 5. Adoption fees are $400.00. We accept Zelle, Cash or Checks. (Prices are subject to change without notice). 6. All dogs and puppies adopted through Forever Home are fully vetted with age appropriate vaccines. Keep in mind once you take possession of your newly adopted dog, any and all future medical costs or care is YOUR responsibility. 7. First time puppy/dog adopters will be required to sign up for and pay in advance a basic training class. A deposit of an extra 50.00 will be required until a class has been completed, it will then be returned. 8. WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS Medical included is as follows: Spay/Neuter (age appropriate) *Forever Home uses Fox Valley Animal Welfare League in Aurora, IL Age appropriate core vaccines Fecal testing and deworming Flea and tick preventative Free 1st Vet visit at one of our participating vets Microchipping Forever Home Dog Rescue reserves the right to deny any applicant.

Sydney is a Mama dog that is about 1 year old. Her previous owner told the shelter he left her and her 2 day old puppies at, that she is a Beagle/great Pyranese mix.
