Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Duke is a very sweet dog, who needs a quiet household. It takes him a while to become acclimated to new people. He is currently in a foster home with a wonderful man who came to visit him here at the shelter multiple times to spend some time with him before he was ready to take him home. Duke is very happy in his home and loves to explore the yard. He has discovered that Duke does not like to be left alone for very long. He does not tear things up or destroy anything, he just gets nervous and shakes when he's alone for an extended period of time. We would like his permanent home to have someone home most of the time (work from home or retired) to keep him company during the day. Since he does not do well meeting new people he should not be walked in a busy community where strangers might want to come up and pet him. He will either need a backyard where he can safely run and play or live somewhere there is minimal walking traffic. Duke is a good dog and it is definitely worth the extra time it takes to get to know him :)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 2:38 pm

Story
Suzie Q and Maggie are bonded “sisters ” Suzie Q is a 2 year old beagle/hound mix weighing approximately 22 pounds. Maggie is a 2 year old border collie mix weighing approximately 24 pounds. They are very loving and enjoy playing together. They get along with the other dogs but prefer to stay by themselves. They have not been cat or child tested. They prefer a home with a fenced in yard although they are learning to walk on a leash. The adoption donation for the pair is $500 which includes their spay, vaccinations, microchip. They are heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. They are currently in a foster home and we are requesting an approved application prior to a meet and greet. https://www.petfinder.com/dog/suzie-q-and-maggie-73671913/fl/eustis/a-forever-home-animal-rescue-inc-fl1026/ We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida.
