Story
Happy Hedge is a 9 year old, female, Beagle that’s on the search for her retirement home. Hedge’s human mom got moved to a long term care facility and Hedge lost her home as a result. She’s a happy, easy girl to have around! Hedge is great with canine companions and often participated in doggie play groups with dogs of all sizes. She sleeps soundly through the night on her dog bed, seems house trained, enjoys short walks and is always up for a little power nap while she recharges under the sun. Hedge is presently 55 lbs but she’s on a weight loss plan. She’d be great for an active senior home or with a family. She also comes complete with fresh clean teeth! Hedge is being fostered in Loveland, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/hedge/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Rica is a very friendly dog. She has been raised around little kids, cats and other dogs most her life. She was originally my brothers dog but when he moved to Australia he was unable to bring her with him in 2021. She is about 13 years old but not 100% clear on her date as she was adopted. She walked up to my brother and sister in law on a beach during a vacation in Puerto Rico and they fell in love with her. They tried to find if there was an owner but when they did not find one, they decided to adopt her and that is where her name Rica came from (If she were a male it would have been Rico :-) ). I have a new job and am traveling a lot more these days for work and can be gone for multiple weeks in a month and it is difficult for my wife to be at home with her since she cannot work from home. Now that I am not home as much, she is not getting the attention she needs. My wife is also having more reaction to her dander in recent time. It is manageable but more noticable recently.

Story
Ranger is a guy’s guy. He really loves the fellas, and wants to be your best bud in the tree house with No GiRls AlLoWeD on the sign. If you have another pup around the house, even better. Ranger is smart, a little shy, and needs a friend who can manage his energy. He is still a puppy, and eager to learn with someone who is willing to take the time to teach him about being a good boy. What would make Ranger happiest? A friend who will take him hiking and camping, and give him quiet evenings on the porch sipping tea and watching the sun dip below the mountains. He’d like some toys and a bed of his own. He wants someone to give him some lessons to use his smart noodle brain – we recommend puzzle toys! Ranger is a mix of several things – big paws, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and currently a little too much belly (we can relate!) – for his health, it would be good to get started on a spring health plan with you, his new best bud, working up to those longer activities. Ranger is a Taurus, with all that entails. We’ll be honest – as long as you tell him WHY you want him to do something, he’ll figure out that you’ve got his best interests at heart, but he can be a little stubborn. We think that he’ll relax a bit more once he knows he’s in a safe and comfortable permanent home. Want to meet Ranger? Please fill out an adoption application on our website linked below. https://dogrescuecolorado.org/dogs/ranger-2/

Story
Bellie is truly the “belle of the ball” in her foster home! The 5-year-old brindle and white beauty who puts all of her 40 pounds into LOVING, could easily exist on a steady diet of affection. Supremely sweet, quiet and calm, she loves snuggling and cuddling with her foster mom and uses her paws constantly to ask for more love, pets and attention. Not only does Bellie do beautifully with older children, she’s very friendly towards everyone, even strangers on the street, greeting them with plenty of happy tail wags. Fond of going on walks, honing her leash skills along the way, she also loves following scents in the grass and taking rides in the car. As cute as a young puppy whenever she gets a toy, Bellie likes plush dog toys, filled Kongs and lick mats, is motivated by love, toys and food, answers to her name, and knows “come,” “sit” and “leave it.” Crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Bellie, who’s being treated for heartworm disease requires more rest than activity, but she will, unquestionably, adore longer walks and more playtime once she’s fully recovered. Now this most loving of people pets is best suited to an equally loving family without cats, perhaps as their only pet, that will continue her socialization with other dogs, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever.    Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2114313##

Story
Are you seeking a gentle, kind-hearted dog who thinks you hung the moon? Meet Daisy! At ~5 years old, Daisy has an easy-going, calm demeanor that makes her a joy to have around. Having spent most of her life with an owner who paid her virtualy zero attention, Daisy is appreciative of the most basic things in life. Have a soft bed, being fed every day, receiving a loving touch, being told she is a good girl, are all pleasures that Daisy has never known and is overjoyed to experience. She lives with other dogs and does well with them but she would also enjoy being the center of someone's universe. She prefers a quiet setting and can become dismayed when the younger dogs bark and carry on while playing. If she could be any sweeter, we can't imagine it. She is elated just to be in your presence and doesn't require much else of her people. Her foster mom tells us Daisy wasn't a big fan of the leash at first but has learned that it means she gets to go for a short stroll and then come back to her comfortable home. She likes to ride in the car with her foster mom and enjoys just being able to go with her. Her resiliance touches our hearts. Daisy is heart worm positive and will need to be on monthly preventatives. This sweet-tempered girl is around 40 pounds and she appears to be a Shepherd and maybe Beagle mix.  If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2197155##
