Story
Hello! My name is Lewis and I`m a cute little guy who is looking for a quiet home. I need a home without small children under 12 because I`m still learning that the world is fun and not quite as intimidating as I thought. I will take time to warm up to my new family but I am sweet and will do well in most quiet homes. I am bonded to my brother Clark and we do much better when we are together, so we have to find our forever homes with one another. Love little dogs? Come and meet me!

Hello! My name is Clark and I`m a cute little guy who is looking for a quiet home with my brother Lewis. I need to go to a home without kids under 12, since I can be fearful of sudden movements and noises, and I need to meet any dogs in the home before I go home with them. I will take time to warm up to my new family but I am sweet and will do well in most quiet homes. If you are looking for a sweet little pair of dogs, Lewis and I are your go-to!

Story
Hi!! My name is Darla! I love my doggie friends, but people are my favorite thing! I'm a huge cuddle bug and a very gentle player. When my doggie friends get too rowdy, I just excuse myself and go inside and find something else to do. I love to go on adventures with you, and walk very nicely on leash.  I'm not a huge barker, but do have a beagle-y bray when I do bark.  I'm easy going, affectionate, and love to help you with chores and meal prep. I'm a very sweet girl, ready to devote myself entirely to my new family If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations for my age ##2183610##

Story
Rica is a very friendly dog. She has been raised around little kids, cats and other dogs most her life. She was originally my brothers dog but when he moved to Australia he was unable to bring her with him in 2021. She is about 13 years old but not 100% clear on her date as she was adopted. She walked up to my brother and sister in law on a beach during a vacation in Puerto Rico and they fell in love with her. They tried to find if there was an owner but when they did not find one, they decided to adopt her and that is where her name Rica came from (If she were a male it would have been Rico :-) ). I have a new job and am traveling a lot more these days for work and can be gone for multiple weeks in a month and it is difficult for my wife to be at home with her since she cannot work from home. Now that I am not home as much, she is not getting the attention she needs. My wife is also having more reaction to her dander in recent time. It is manageable but more noticable recently.

Story
Get ready to fall in love! Zep, a 3-year-old, 20-pound bundle of love, is making his way from New Mexico to Colorado on 12/4, and he’s ready to meet his forever family. Zep is a petite guy with a heart as big as the Rockies. His playful, curious nature makes every day an adventure. Whether it's a leisurely walk, exploring the backyard, or curling up by your side for a cozy evening, Zep is always ready to be your loyal companion. He's been great with other dogs too! This little guy is as smart as he is sweet, and he’s excited to show off his personality in his new home. Zep would thrive with a family who can continue his journey of love and learning. He’s great with other dogs, loves to cuddle, and is ready to bond with the people who will show him the good life. We'd like to place Zep in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Zep has been fully vetted, is up to date on his vaccines. He is not neutered yet, but will be done at no-cost to his adopter with our rescue vet. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ .

Story
Ranger is a guy’s guy. He really loves the fellas, and wants to be your best bud in the tree house with No GiRls AlLoWeD on the sign. If you have another pup around the house, even better. Ranger is smart, a little shy, and needs a friend who can manage his energy. He is still a puppy, and eager to learn with someone who is willing to take the time to teach him about being a good boy. What would make Ranger happiest? A friend who will take him hiking and camping, and give him quiet evenings on the porch sipping tea and watching the sun dip below the mountains. He’d like some toys and a bed of his own. He wants someone to give him some lessons to use his smart noodle brain – we recommend puzzle toys! Ranger is a mix of several things – big paws, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and currently a little too much belly (we can relate!) – for his health, it would be good to get started on a spring health plan with you, his new best bud, working up to those longer activities. Ranger is a Taurus, with all that entails. We’ll be honest – as long as you tell him WHY you want him to do something, he’ll figure out that you’ve got his best interests at heart, but he can be a little stubborn. We think that he’ll relax a bit more once he knows he’s in a safe and comfortable permanent home. Want to meet Ranger? Please fill out an adoption application on our website linked below. https://dogrescuecolorado.org/dogs/ranger-2/
