Story
I got lola from a friend who had the mom and dad . She is 4 and half years old. Very playful sweet and energetic. She requires a backyard for sure . Unfortunately we had to move from our home With a backyard to a townhouse and its been difficult for lola with limited space. She likes going to the park and is just a beagle at heart because her smeller is everything all she does is sniff sniff sniff. She is not a typical beagle in the howling or barking only when she sees you for the first time will she get excited then she’ll settle down. She can be left alone and was crate trained but if you exceed 3 hours she will get antsy and be barking/howling.

Story
Hello, Meet Oliver the Beagle who is an energetic 40-45lbs boy in need of a loving home, who loves the outdoors and enjoys following his nose on long walks. He is intelligent, food motivated, and learns tricks easily with treats. Oliver knows how to sit, lay down, touch, twirl, and shake. One of the little games we do with him is hiding treats around the house for his nose to find, and boy does he love it. He is a very sensitive and emotional dog who will let it be known when he wants some attention. Great with young children, especially cleaning up after them when they are all done with their food. Oliver does really well with bath time but can be sensitive with his ear cleaning and nail filing. Will happily curl up next to you on the couch to watch movies with you.

Haley is a beautiful sweet very smart girl. Being a three year old, her energy level is high, but she also likes her naps. Haley needs to be rehomed to a family with no other pets and no small children because of her food aggression, toward other pets. We are heart broken to give her up but we have two other older dogs. Story
Meet Sniffer! Sniffer's journey is a heartwarming tale of resilience and hope. This lovable 10-year-old first joined the Frosted Faces family in May 2023 when he was surrendered to Coachella Valley Shelter and faced the risk of euthanasia. With his beagle charm, he was whisked away on several two-week Frosted Flings, where we discovered just how special he truly is. Sniffer proved to be a well-behaved, food-loving, blanket snuggler in a home environment, earning great reviews from his short-term families. Although he found a forever home in September 2023, his life took another unexpected turn, and he was returned to us in May 2024 through no fault of his own. Now back in our care, Sniffer is once again dreaming of a loving, permanent home. In the meantime, he's enjoying the good life of an on-site Frosted Face - being in play groups with his friends, having fun on outings with volunteers, and going on our weekly Sunday hikes. Sniffer is known for appreciating his personal space, and his preference is to let you know when he wants to be petted by booping you with his nose. The longer he knows someone, such as our staff and certain volunteers, he does it more and more. Sniffer needs a patient family to give him time to learn what real love feels like. Sniffer is a great guy to take as your date to public places, as evidenced on a special outing with volunteers and another dog to a local winery. He was perfectly behaved in the car, at the winery, and while mingling with people. His calm demeanor and love for the outdoors, combined with his enthusiasm for snacks, made him an absolute hit! Sniffer recently returned from a two-week Frosted Fling, and his foster family shared what they learned about him: "Sniffer sweetly follows you around the house, is very responsive, and gets so excited when you return home. He is sensitive soul with a heartbreaking past and needs a dedicated, patient human to show him love and care. His fear sometimes gets in the way, but he's trying hard to be the best boy. * He loves head scratches but not his butt, as he gets scared when he can't see your hand. * Food is his favorite, especially dinner time! * He enjoys being outdoors and would love a yard where he can sunbathe, roll in the dirt, and take in nature. * He loves outings to dog-friendly spots like Petco to sniff and people-watch. He's respectful as long as others don't reach out to touch him unexpectedly. * He is comfortable in a crate and willingly goes in when asked kindly. He responds well to gentle commands. * He would enjoy having a small playmate, as he loved to roll around with our puppy! * He prefers leisurely walks, taking his time to sniff and explore. * He's happy to slip his head into his leash and gets excited to go on walks. * He likes to lay on his own bed next to you. * He barks and howls when he needs to go potty. Sniffer is a sweet boy who deserves a loving home where to spend his golden years. With patience, he will bond deeply with his forever family. He just needs someone willing to take a chance on him." Sniffer is back on-site and ready for his forever home. If you have a beagle-sized spot in your heart for this special boy, please stop by between 10:00am and 3:00pm to meet him!

Story
Meet Matey! Matey entered City of Corona Animal Services as a stray. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on September 19th to become a Frosted Face. She is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Matey is very sweet, likes attention, and does well with our other little dogs on-site. She has very limited vision but uses her other senses to learn her way around. Matey lives in a Foster home. Not only is she getting lots of love and pampering, but we are learning what she is like in a home environment! Her Foster Mom reports; "We've had Matey for a week, and she's the best! She is such a sweet girl! She's spent the week exploring our house to make sure she knows exactly where everything is. Her hearing is impeccable, and her sense of smell is even better. Matey absolutely loves attention but won't ask for it. She is so excited when someone calls her name and she starts a mission to find where the person is! She cannot see a thing, but she is a pro at mapping things out in her head! Matey's favorite thing is head and ear scratches, she'll fall asleep sitting up if you scratch her long enough! She started sleeping with me every night on the bed, and I lined the floor in dog beds and pillows just in case she walks off the bed by accident. We have left the house a few times, and she did amazing. I watched her on the puppy cam just to be sure, but she slept on her bed the whole time. She's the best girl! She knows her humans will come home for her. Matey loves a good nap in the sun, and since she gets cold easily, she goes out often to sit in the sun for a few minutes. If she isn't in the sun she's usually in a dog bed buried under a blanket taking a snooze. I'm telling you, she's so easy to please! This girl is such an easy loving companion. Matey has the sweetest soul and just wants to show everyone love. She even puts up with our puppy licking her face/mouth all day!" Matey is doing so well in her foster home but is still looking for her forever family. Might that be you? To meet Matey, please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forever home wanted!!!!  Meet Zucki the Puppy!!!! Zucki (short for Zucchini lol) recently found himself as a stray at a local shelter. Sadly his family never came for him and he like all dogs in shelters today became at risk solely due to the shelter’s space needs. That is all behind him now as Zucki is safe with us and rocking his foster home.  Zucki is an active, smart 7 month old mix in the 30 pound range. We are not sure what breed he is.  The shelter said Basset Hound but we see some doxie in there so we went with both, this is what we call a Heinz’s 57 mix breed dog and they are the Best!.  Zucki gets along with people and dogs alike and just wants to be everyone’s friend.  He's a happy, healthy , energetic puppy that already knows how to use a crate and sleep through the night.  Zucki is looking for a family that is committed to training and socialization to help him become the best dog possible.  If Zucki sounds like the right dog for your family email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org  Zucki is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 11, 2024, 4:11 pm

Story
Looking for a silly, outgoing, spunky and fun-loving Basset Hound and Boston Terrier mix to brighten your days? Then Heron may just be your guy! Heron originally came to us from a shelter in San Bernardino County, and he quickly made fast friends with everyone both two and four legged. His favorite pastimes at TBL include roaming the play yard with his buddies, playing fetch, going on weekend hikes with volunteers, and just being a ham for attention. You only need to meet him to know that this playful dude has a happy-go-lucky outlook on life and nothing will bring him down. Given his energy and tenacity, he would do best with an experienced owner that can keep him grounded and help set boundaries. Heron loves to give you kisses – whether your hands, arms, or face, he is not picky! He comes equipped with adorably squat legs, classic black and white coloring, constantly wagging tail, big inquisitive brown eyes, and happy smiling face. To those who know him well, and those he has established trust with, he is a very sweet, jolly, and obedient boy. Heron weighs around 30 pounds, a great size for most types of living situations. He is about 9 and a half years young (estimated DOB December 2011) but can still keep up with the best of them on long hikes and outdoor adventures. If Heron sounds like the perfect pup you have been looking for, come see if he is a match for you!If you'd like to meet Heron, please visit www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptTo initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below.
